MILLIONS OF BELIEVERS ARE GOING TO HELL?

" So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, speaking of this as he does in all his letters . There are some things in them hard to understand, which the IGNORANT and UNSTABLE TWIST  to their own very DESTRUCTION, as they do the other scriptures.  You therefore, beloved, knowing this before hand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of LAWLESS MEN and lose your own steadfastness" 2 Peter 3:15-17.

Under the disguised manipulations of the devil,  believers in Christ are twisting the Epistles of Paul for their own very destruction (HELL FIRE). To escape from this Satan's  trap  that is taking many believers to hell, U must carefully take time to understand the following:

1) What is the meaning of the word  LAW OF GOD?(Governing
principles b/w God and his creation(His word to be obeyed).

2) The differences b/w OBEDIENCE to the LAW OF GOD in the Old

and the New Testament(Old Testament by Human works & New

Testament through the Holy Spirit by Grace in Christ)

3) What is the meaning of LAW OF WORKS?(Human works aim at

pleasing God. Abolished by Christ dying on the cross. Heb

  9:9-10).

4) What is the meaning of LAW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?(God leading

us through the  Holy Spirit to obey his Laws as to please Him).

5) Which precisely were those Laws touched  by  Jesus Christ?

6) What Does Grace In Jesus Christ Mean?

Ananias & Sapphira were under Grace in Christ, but disobeyed the LAW OF GOD "Thou shall not Lie", and went to Hell(Act 5). So, if you are in Grace in Christ, but disobey just one of  God's Laws on INWARD & OUTWARDS  Holiness, U go to Hell just like them. "You must be Holy: Spirit-Soul-Body" 1 Thesso. 5:23, Ephe.5:26-27.

Before We Get Into Our Subject!

Do you know Why millions of believers are going and will going to hell?

✦✦✦✦

- Because of the lack of knowledge of the principles on which God governs man, which Satan and his demons master very well, and are using  it against BORN AGAIN CHILDREN OF GOD.

- Lack of knowledge on the  disguises of the devil.

- Lack of  knowledge on the human nature.

Remember the Lord says plainly: "My PEOPLE are DESTROYED for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE" Hosea 4:6. Note that God says His people-meaning BELIEVERS and not UNBELIEVERS.

I pray you in the name of the Lord to print this page and give to your pastors. Take time on it to pray and if possible fast, for the spirit of the Lord to stir him up to read and open   his mind to understand before you ever give him.  Share it equally to brethren and as the Lord will move through it to save believers from perishing, so too will he richly bless you.

Don't ignore this. I have done my own part and so my conscience is clear. You equally do yours and clear your conscience.

Don't let Satan and his  demons to deceive you that it isn't necessary. If you do, you will be accountable before the Lord for the negligent. Very many are ignorant about, and so the devil uses this ignorance for destruction. Multiple and send to be loved ones, or just copy and mail to them. Or mail this link for them to visit.

Please, I pray each and every one of you to try by all possible means to get any format of this book and take time to carefully read. It contains very much you need for  Holiness and righteous in ready for eternity with the Lord as an overcome over Satan and his entire kingdom of darkness  : Imminent End of the World! Chapter 1

What Is The Meaning Of

The Word “Law ” ?

The entire Universe is sustained  by the word of God. This simply implies that, it is sustained by governing rules and regulations called Laws. Everything that is in existence is governed by a divine Law. There is a divine Law of Nature, and a Spiritual Moral Law.

For instance:

-"Do you know the Law that Governs the skies'Job38:33, is in relation to the divine Law of nature.

-"This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth. Study it day and night and make sure you obey All that is written in it, then you shall be prosperous and successful" Joshua1:8, is in relation to spiritual moral Laws.

The divine Law of nature exert itself upon us whether we like it or not. It is there and operating.  Example: Law of gravity, rain, sun, planting and harvesting, putting food in the mouth and having waste product through the anus, and never will it be putting food in the anus and have waste product coming out through the mouth, sleep,  growth etc......

The Spiritual moral Law, calls on the   collaboration of our conscience to obey God. We must collaborate in either consciously obeying or disobeying and facing the negative or positive consequences. He tells us the way He wants us to live, and the way we shouldn't: Worship, feeding, clothing, sex, attitude towards one another,  etc, etc.  All these constitute his spiritual moral Laws which he commands us in Joshua 1:8, to search for them in the scripture and obey.

In the domain of the Spiritual Moral Law, there is a very, very strong Law that believers ignore: The Law of DISOBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD ( Rhema and Logos), which will lead to   DEATH whether we like it or not. So, whether we say we are save by grace or not, if we disobey, we die.  It came into existence in the garden of Eden through Adam and Eve. So long as we keep on being in this earthly mortal body, this Law is in operation. It is this Law that Paul was talking of in Romans 7:14-21. That is the  sinful human nature. Satan masters this very well and that is why he does everything to twist understanding of the scriptures so that we may disobey it and die. There are differences between :

1) Human Sinful nature

2) Living a sinful life and

3) Living a Sin free life.

In our sinful nature of  the mortal body, we can choose to life a  sinful life, or a sin-free life. For example: Our Lord Jesus Christ  by wearing the Human sinful nature body, chose not  to sin when he was tempted.

And why did the devil come to  tempt  him to Sin?  Because  he was putting on the human sinful body.  So long as we keep putting on this sinful mortal body, we will be submitted to the devil's temptations.  But are we to Sin? No!  The bible  says, " God tempts  no to sin....

This is the whole issue of the Lord calling us to live a Holy Life, perfect as he is perfect  while still in the sinful body.  We shall only be free  from the sinful nature when we leave this sinful body and are in heaven(Wearing the immortal sin-free  nature)- 1st Corinthians 15:51-54.

The blood  of Christ covers our sinful body nature, and therefore permits that whenever we stagger in it  and  sin, we can  confess and repent for forgiveness. This is the grace we enjoy in Christ, in our sinful body nature.

So, the blood of Christ doesn't cover people's sinful lives  so that they can continue to live a sinful life and go to heaven because they have believed in Christ and so Christ bears every sin that they commit  by his death on the cross  and thus makes them holy by grace.

To this the bible says plainly: "Whoever continuous to SIN  belongs to the DEVIL because the Devil has sinned  from the beginning. The son of God appeared for this very reason, to destroy what the devil had done. Whoever is a child of God does not continue to sin, for God's very nature is in him; and because God is his father, he cannot continue to sin. This is the clear difference between God's children and the devil's children.."1 John 3:8-10.

Therefore, Christ saves people from their sins  and not with their sins. That is why God is talking of:

·  " Without Holiness, no one shall see God" Hebrew 12:14.

·  " Only the pure in heart shall see God" Matthew 5:8

·  "He did this to dedicate the Church to God by his WORD, after washing it in water, in order to present the  church to himself in all its beauty-pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection" Ephesians 5:26-27.

One very great misunderstanding in the Church of today is over the issue of the word “Law”!  And this is leading to the practice of lawlessness(disobedience to the word of God)  amongst the Saints of today as it is written:

"So also our beloved brother wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist  to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of Lawless men and lost your own stability(2nd Peter 3:15-17).

Any honest child of God will agree with us that some of those things amongst many others in Paul’s letters, hard to understand that are misinterpreted to cause lawlessness include: Galatians 2:15, 3:10-12, Romans 14:5, Galatians 4:10, 1st Timothy 4:3- 4, Colossians 10: 25, 1st Corinthians 16:2., Act 20:7.

They are all analyze in detail in my Book: " Imminent End of The world". As instruments chosen by God for His work, we think that we must be able to come out with a clear-cut understanding on the issue of Law in the New Testament, so that we may not teach others wrongly, and be responsible for their disobedience to God.

It is better not to teach someone at all than teach him the wrong things for we shall be responsible for this before God (James 3:1-2). If with the Laws of men, the one who teaches another into wrong doing can never be set free, what more with the Laws of God? We must never be responsible for the promotion of Lawlessness.

And if we are operating in the situation of Lawlessness, how do we think  to victoriously punish demons since the Bible says, “ Being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete”( 2nd Corinth. 10:3-6)?

For a better understanding of this issue then, we must first of all ask ourselves  the following questions:

1)  What is the meaning of the word “Law”?

2)  What is the difference between the obedience to the law in the Old  and New Testament?

3)  What is the meaning of the word “Works of the Law”?

4)  What is the meaning of the word “Law of the Spirit”?

5)   What Does Grace In Jesus Christ Mean?

6)   Which precisely were those Laws abolished by Jesus Christ?

Relating to the Supreme Creator therefore, Law is any Word that comes out from the mouth of God (Rhema and Logos), and man lives by it. The Bible says of the “Word”: “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed which no one knows but himself. He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is “The Word of God”. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fi ne linen, white and pure, followed him on white horses. From his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations; he will tread the wine press of the furry of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, king of kings and Lord of lords ”( Revelation. 19:11-16)

From this passage above, it is very clear that, “The Word of God” which is Jesus Christ (the Holy scriptures, It is written, the Law of God), is coming to Judge us individually according to our obedience to it.  For example, Ananias & Sapphira were under Grace in Christ, but disobeyed the Word of God (LAW OF GOD) that says:  "Thou shall not Lie", and went to Hell(Act 5). So, if you are in Grace in Christ, but disobey just one of  God's Laws on INWARD and  OUTWARD  Holiness, you go to Hell just like them because it is written: "...WITHOUT HOLINESS NO ONE WILL SEE GOD" Hebrew 12:14. The Law of God says:  "You must be Holy: Spirit-Soul-Body" 1 Thesso. 5:23, Ephe.5:26-27.

Therefore, the Word or Law of God(Rhema and Logos), is a double-edged sword piercing to kill or give life (Hebrew 4:1113). Yes, are we ready to be judged by God’s book of Law(The Word of God Jesus Christ)? When the Bible says, “ In the Law it is written ‘By means of strange tongue and by lips of foreigners will I speak ..”(1st Corinth 14:2), it is certainly referring to the Holy Bible. The Lord Almighty says:

1)- “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purposed, and prosper in the thing on which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11”(Deuteronomy 4:10-11)

2)- “Instead you have given me ears to hear you called, and so I answered, ‘Here I am’ your instructions for me are in the Book of Law”(Psalms 40: 7)

3)- “Whoever Sins is guilty of breaking God’s Law, because sin is the breaking of the Law …” (1st John 3: 4-5).

4)- “Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”( Joshua 1:8).

5)- “Because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charges, my commandments, my statues, and my Laws….”( Genesis 26; 5). If God’s Laws are claimed to be Moses Laws, Who came first, Abraham or Moses? We are reconfirming that every word that comes out of God’s mouth becomes a Law.

6)- “ They have obeyed your word, and now they know that everything you gave me comes from you. I gave them the message that you gave me, and they received it; they know t hat it is true t hat I came from you, and t hey believed that you sent me”( John 17:1-8).

It therefore means that to have eternal life one must know God, and the only knowledge of God is through His word. Therefore, no knowledge of the word leads to no knowledge of God, and consequently no eternal life: WORD= GOD = ETERNAL LIFE.

It is written in the Book of Law that: “If you remain in me and my WORDS in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it” (John 15:7).  The whole Bible therefore is God’s Book of Law.

The Holy  scriptures or Bible therefore is God’s Book of Law on which we are governed.

Another illustration of the whole Bible as the Law of God is the Lord’s Spiritual warfare with the devil after His 40days fast in Mathew 4: 1-11:

- “After Spending forty days and nights without food, Jesus was hungry. Then the devil came to Him and said, ‘‘if you are God’s son, order these stones to turn into bread’’. But Jesus answered, ‘It is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Where is it written in the Book of Law?” Read Deuteronomy 8:3.

- “Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them; and he said to Him, ‘‘ all these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me’’. Then Jesus said to Him, ‘‘Begone Satan, for it is written, ‘you shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve’’. Where is it written in the Book of Law? Read Deuteronomy 6:13.

When the high priest Ananias ordered Paul to be slapped in the mouth, and Paul replied with insults, the men close to Paul called his attention to the fact that, he was talking to the High priest; what did Paul say? : My fellow Israelites, I did not know that he was the High priest; for it is written, ‘ You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people( Acts 23:1-5). Where is it written in the Book of Law? Read Exodus 22:28.

Yes! It is written! It is written! It is written! Therefore:

·        If Jesus Christ, the Son of God could not disobey ‘It is written’!

·        If the prophets and the Apostles could not! Who are we then to  disobey ‘It is written’ and expect to go free?

Uzzah in his good intentions wanted to protect the Ark, but instead, God killed him because it was written, “ … and if anyone else comes near, he shall be put to death”( Numbers 1:51-5 ).

Woe then to all those who claim a false salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ by grace and refuse to obey the Word(Law of God ). The Lord shall judge us according to our obedience to them, not in the old way through works, but in the new way through the Holy Spirit. The Lord Almighty says:

- “If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give heed to his commandments, and keep all his statutes,…”. (Exodus 15:26).

- “If you are not careful to do all my words of this law which are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awful name, the Lord your God ” ( Deuteronomy 28:58).

In these texts, great emphasize is laid on all and not some. It is written, “But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said do not kill” If you do not commit adultery but do kill, you have become a transgressor of the Law. So speak and so act as those to be judged under the Law of liberty” (James 2: 8-10).

Are you one of those breaking one of the Laws of the kingdom, and claiming a false salvation by grace in the Lord Jesus? Then you are wasting your time. God says, “.. this Book of Law shall not depart from your mouth’’. This means that the Bible, which is the word of God, is His Law and therefore, without the knowledge of this Law Book, the knowledge of God is completely impossible as earlier said. Believers are therefore expected to:

       ·        Read it

       ·        Meditate it and Confess it day and night  (Joshua 1:8).

We are not to confess:

       ·        Our thoughts.

       ·        Our Feelings and emotions.

What we see, and what we hear from others, etc.

Let's ask this question: Will there be a divine Law of nature  governing  sky, moon and stars, animals, birds etc in the New coming world(kingdom of righteousness) that god is create? If yes, then permit us ask another question: Will there equally be divine moral Laws(norms or way of life),  governing man?

To better answer this question, let's see what Isaiah 66:23 says:

"For as the new heaven and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, says the Lord; so shall your descendants and your name remain. From New moon to New moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, says the Lord”  We can equally read Isaiah 65:17-20

From this text, we can all clearly YES, there will be a divine Moral Law(norms or way of life) to be lived, not by human works(Law of works because they shall not exist), but through the Holy Spirit  as God had intended for Adam and Eve before they sinned.

Every True Born Again Child Of God Is A Spiritual Jew (Spiritual Israel)?

For those who claim not to be Jews, and so will not obey the Jewish Law, the Lord says:

-“ Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and learn that I loved you. Because you have kept my word of patient and endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth (Revelation 3: 9-10).

-After all, who is a real Jew, truly circumcised? It is not the man who is a Jew on the outside, whose circumcision is a physical thing. Rather the real Jew is the person who is a Jew on the inside that is whose heart has been circumcised and this is the work of God’s Spirit, not of the written Law. Such a person receives his praise from God, not from man”( Romans 2:28-29).

What the believers of today have failed to understand is that we are all spiritual Jews through the body of Jesus Christ, who was a physical Jew by birth. If we identify ourselves spiritually with Christ then we should also identify ourselves now with the spiritual Jews, who are God’s chosen. Yes, becoming Spiritual Jews through the body of Christ makes us Spiritual chosen of God.

The whole Bible therefore is the Jewish Law the Law of God given to his chosen people the Jews as it is written: For salvation is from the Jews(John 4:22-23). Thus, any person who identify himself now as a spiritual  Jew, through Christ, must obey God’s Laws. Reading Romans 11: 1- 24, we  will understand more on what we are trying to say. So we see how stupid it sounds to say that we are not governed by the Law, and at the same time we say the Bible says, “Thou shall not steal, thou shall not murder, thou shall not kill etc … ”. How do we call this? Certainly the Law of God!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the Spirit of God is saying that if we are not careful in the reading and understanding of some letters in the New Testament, we will lead ourselves to destruction. Because, the apostles cannot disobey God and the Bible can never be contradictory. Many of us  misunderstand the various situations and circumstances in which Apostle Paul was writing his letters to solve and that is why when reading them, they seem very contradictory whereas they are not. Man therefore being what he is chose that which seems to satisfy his sinful heart desires.

Man’s Existence Is Yoked To God’s Laws!  God’s Covenant Can Never Be Separated From His Laws.

What Is A Covenant?

IN Biblical limitations to the Old and New Testaments, this is a mutual agreement made between God, the supreme creator, and His people. In this agreement or engagement, God being the creator of man, promises him blessings and benedictions on conditions that; the latter fulfils certain conditions or terms. A covenant therefore is made, based on these terms (laws); and as such, there can never be a covenant without terms. We may like to give these conditions or terms the name we want, but what is important is that, they are LAWS that have to be obeyed for the covenant to be valuable.

Grace in Christ comes in on the one hand that man oers no eorts of his to obey, but just accepting Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit to lead him into obedience. In the Bible we have just one covenant of promise blessings and benedictions made between God and Abraham extending to His descendants as the Bible puts it:

When Abraham was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the Lord your God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless. And I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” “Behold, my covenant is with you … God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your descendants throughout their generation. This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your descendants after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. You shall be circumcised in the flesh of you foreskin, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between you and me. He that is eight years old among you shall be circumcised; every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house, or bought with your money(Genesis 17:1-14Good News).

The terms or conditions of the covenant were that:

Abraham was to obey God in everything and do what was right; and circumcise all male children and slaves that were under his authority. We therefore conclude from this text that it is a mutual agreement or engagement. This covenant with Abraham, which extended to his descendants, came to scene on Mount Sinai where it  was renewed as it is written:

“Moses came and told the people all the word of the Lord and all the ordinances. And all the people answered with one voice, and said,” All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do. And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord … And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins and half of the blood he threw against the altar. Then he took the book of the covenant, and read it in the hearing of the people and they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient”; And Moses took the blood and threw it upon the people, “Behold the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words( Exodus 24: 1-8).

Here, God renewed the covenant He made with Abraham, with his descendants by adding more Laws, which they were to obey. The most important Laws here are the Ten Commandments. The renewed covenant was sealed with the blood of animals as it is written:  “He took the book of the covenant, and read it in the hearing of the people …” This just confirms our saying that, God’s Laws are in the covenant; and they are inseparable. There can be therefore, no covenant without Laws.

The blood was only sprinkled on the people when they heard these Laws and agreed to obey. Equally in the New Testament, when we hear the gospel of salvation, repent of our sins and accept to move in obedience of God’s Laws, as the Holy Spirit will lead us, we get under the sprinkling of the blood of Christ that was already spilled on the cross. One thing we notice here is that death must take place before we have blood. Moses killed the animals before obtaining blood.

He did not just suck out blood from the living animals and allow them continue living, which is very possible but the animals were put to death. The same thing applies to Christ, who was not just nailed on the cross for some drops of blood and brought down alive from the cross to continue living. But he died. This teaches us that the reward for every sin is death as the Bible says. In the Old Testament, the animals died for the sins of the people and their blood purified them. In the New Testament, Christ died for our sins, and His blood purified us. To this the Bible says:

Indeed under the Law almost everything is purified with blood, and Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin (Hebrew 9:22).

How can we talk of sin if there is no law? And if there is no transgression  to these Laws, how can we be talking of forgiveness? How can we therefore, be saying that we are under the new covenant of grace in Christ without Laws?

Therefore, it is only when we get into the terms of a covenant (laws), that we can benefit from that covenant. Yes, that is why we must confess and repent of our sin in order to benefit from the blood of Christ. And when we must have benefited forgiveness through the blood of Christ, can we go back to disobey the laws as before? If yes, then we go out of the cover of His blood. Which are therefore the Laws of God that we must obey in order to remain under the permanent cover of the blood of Christ? This is a question for everyone to answer and the Bible is there to teach us.

Then Put In The Box, The Two Tablets Stones”

On Mount Sinai after the renewal of the covenant, God decided that a covenant box was to be made. This was a physical wooden object

in which His Laws, accepted to be obeyed by his people, were to be kept as the Bible relates:

- “Make a box out of acacia wood … Then put in the box the two tablets stones that I will give you, on which the commandments are

written”(Exodus 25:10-25 Good News).

- “Hew two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me on the mountain, and make an Ark of wood. And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables, which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark. So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like the first, and went up the mountain with the two tables in my hand. And he wrote on the tables, as at the first writing, the ten commandments that the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fi re on the day of the assembly, and the Lord gave them to me. Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made, and there they are, as the lord commanded me”(Deuteronomy 10: 1-5 RSV)

The fabricated wooden object Box + Ten Commandments = Covenant Box. Therefore, without the ten commandments, it is just a box. The ten commandments therefore, equals the covenant. No ten commandments, No Covenant. Only the ten commandments were put in the covenant box with the other ceremonial and civil laws written by Moses under instruction from God were put beside the covenant box as it is written:

“When Moses had finished writing the words of this law in a book, to the very end, Moses commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you  ( Deuteronomy 31:24-26).

Why Beside And Not Inside The Box With The Ten Commandments?

The mutual engagement between God and His people here is based essentially on the obedience of the Ten Commandments while the ceremonial and civil laws were just attached to support or reinforce them and could be modified. That is why they were not put inside and sealed. To this the Bible says, “He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you you must obey the ten commandments, which He wrote on two stone tablets” (Deuteronomy 4:13).

Therefore: The first point to make is that the ten commandments put and sealed  in a box, implies that they are everlasting and never to

be changed. They remain thus forever and ever as we will see it in heaven when the Lord appears for the rapture as the Bible

illustrates: God’s temple in heaven was open, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, and earthquakes, and heavy hail (Revelation 11:19).

Secondly, the ten commandments therefore remain the foundation of God’s governance. They are the pillars of God’s laws, and all the

other sub-laws rotate around them. Thirdly, the ceremonial and the civil laws written by Moses were not put into the covenant box and sealed because they were temporal and waiting for the messiah (our Lord Jesus Christ), who was to come and MAGNIFY them.

So, they were the shadow of Christ. Therefore, all modifications made by the Lord Jesus Christ were carried out on these ceremonial and civil laws that support the ten commandments and not on the ten commandments themselves. Read Colossians 2:13-19, Hebrew 7, 8, and 9, for more understanding. The modified ones through Christ keep rotating around the ten commandments  and magnifying them for obedience through the Holy Spirit.

For instance, as has been explained in previous chapters, one aspect of the civil and ceremonial Laws to support the application of one point of the Ten commandments, which is the 4th commandment on the sanctification of the 7th day of the week, which is the Lord’s Sabbath was: killing all those who were caught profaning it, the oering of food and drinks, circumcision,... They were all temporal, and waiting for Christ. That is why they were not put in the covenant box with the ten commandment and sealed but were put outside, beside the box.

When Christ came, he modified these rules that were considered as hard; that is why they no longer exist. And as such, we are no longer to be judged by them says: Colossians 2:16.

Renewal Of The Mount Sinai Covenant With The Blood Of  Christ!

With the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, in God’s plan of redemption, He renewed the covenant He made on Mount Sinai with his people, the Israelites, to include other nations as it is written:

- “The Lord has called you and given you power to see that justice is done on earth. Through you I will make a covenant with all people; through you I will bring light to the nations. You will open the eyes of the blind and set free those who sit in dark prisons”( Isaiah 42: 1-7).

- “Who has believed what we have heard? And to whom the arm of the Lord has been revealed? … He had no form or comeliness that we should look at him and no beauty that we should desire him … Surely he has borne our grief and carries our sorrow; yet we esteem him stricken, smitten by God, and aicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole? And with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquities of us all. He was oppressed, and he was aicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that is … so he opened not his mouth” (Isaiah 53:1-12 )

From these two texts, we clearly see that through Christ, God opened up the door for others to become part of His people. God was no longer a legitimate possession of the Israelites, but to all human beings. This was that major change that took place with the covenant made on Mount Sinai that was sealed with the blood of animals.

The addition of this one major law (other nations becoming part of God’s people), to what had been decided on Mount Sinai makes it a renewal. And this renewal was no longer sealed with the blood of animals as it was at Mount Sinai but with the blood of Jesus Christ; and therefore makes it the new covenant as against the old covenant on Mount Sinai. From the blood of animals to the blood of a human being, makes it the new covenant.

Therefore, all the nations now through Christ have become part of God’s people (the Spiritual Jews) as it is written:

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith. Do we then overthrow the Law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the Law (Romans 3:29-31).

Therefore, we must keep to the terms (Laws) of the Covenant made on Mount Sinai which is, obedience to the Ten Commandments, and the modified ceremonial and civil Laws of God, by our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, because Jesus Christ did not come to do away with the Ten Commandments and other laws of God, but to accomplish them (Mathew 5:11-20). He came for the sins of al l mankind, giving mankind opportunities before God to obey His Laws. To this the Bible says:

“ Remember the teachings of my servant Moses, the Laws and commandments that I gave him at Mount Sinai for all the people of Israel to obey”( Malachi 4:4-50). Therefore as we have already said, the New covenant with Christ blood is only valuable when we are led by the Holy Spirit to obey God’s Laws as it is written: This calls for the endurance on the part of God’s people, those who obey God’s commandments and are faithful to Jesus (Revelation. 14: 12).

Understanding The Issue On The Conflict Of Laws In The New Testament!

To better understand t he question of laws in t he New Testament, we must be led by the Holy Spirit to understand the context and

circumstances under which the word was applied. For instance, before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, we had two classes of people:

Firstly, the Jewish that were following and keeping the Laws handed over to Moses by the Most High God under their Ceremonial religious system known as Judaism.

Secondly, the gentiles who were not part of God’s people and considered as outcast, having their own pagan way of life or traditions away from the Lord.

When Jesus did come, the Jews who did not believe in Him rejected the message of salvation through Him. While those who believed, thought that He was only for them and so the gentiles had nothing to do with Him since the Jews were the only chosen people of God. So Paul’s letter to the Romans was preferentially geared towards eliminating this belief, and teaching them that Christ came for all of them, both the Jews and Gentiles as it is written:

-“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who calls upon him. For, “ every one who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:12.

-“You were baptised into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, so to speak, with the life of Christ himself. So there is no dierence between Jews and Gentiles, between Slaves and free men, between men and women, you are all one in union with Christ”(Galatians 3: 27-28).

Furthermore, within the Jews or those who believed in the message of Christ, there was that argument on certain practices of the Law of Moses, whether they were still greatly in consideration or not. For example: circumcision, certain feasts and ceremonies, ceremonial Sabbaths (holy days),... The Bible says for instance: But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, ‘ It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the Law of Moses( Act 15:5). So Paul’s letter to the Galatians was geared preferentially towards this angle. After re-explaining the laws, Paul concluded by saying that:

“If you allow yourselves to be circumcised, it means that Christ is of no use to you at all (Galatians 5: 1-11). “ Those who practise circumcision do not obey the laws; they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast that you submitted to this physical ceremony (Galatians 6:11-13).

We are further clarified in advantage on this point of ceremonial law, as we read Philippians 3: 1-3: We do not put any trust in external ceremonies. And so by reading Colossians 2: 8-19: So let no one make rules about what you eat or drink or about holy days or the New Moon festival or the Sabbath.

More clarification on this issue of conflict on the Law in the New testament will be discovered in the chapters ahead as we read on. If we want to foolishly and globally claim that, the Law was nailed on the cross, which then is this other law (Commandments) that we are called upon to obey in the New Testament as enumerated below? :

i) “Do we then overthrow the Law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary we uphold the Law”(Romans 4:3)

ii) “For it is not the hearer of the Law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the Law who will be justified. The gentiles do not have the law; but whenever they do by instinct what the Law command they are their own law, even though they do not have the law. Their conduct shows that what the law commands is written in their heart. Their consciences also shows that this is true, since their though sometimes accuse them and sometimes defend them”( Roman 212-15).

ii) “Then the Dragon was angry with the woman, and went o  to make war on the rest of her o spring, on those who keep the commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus" Revelations 12:17.

iii) Here is call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14: 12). Why not just faith in Jesus Christ?  Jesus Christ is the means through which we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit that will lead us obey the Laws of God.

iv) "For whether or not a man is circumcised means nothing; what matters is to obey God's ‘commandments(1stCorinthians 7: 19).

v) He that speaks evil against a brother or judges his brother speaks evil against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law but a judge” (James 4:11-12).

Vi) " But if show FAVORITISM, you SIN and are convicted by the Law as lawbreakers" If you really fulfil the Royal law, according to the scripture, ….for whoever keeps the law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. For he who said, ‘do not commit adultery’’ said also ‘‘Do not kill’’. If you do not commit adultery but do kill you have become a transgressor of the Law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty” (James 2: 8-13).

                                                 Chapter 2

Differences Between The Obedience Of The Law In:

-The Old Testament.

-The New Testament.

When the apostles are talking of “Laws of works” in the New Testament, they are focused on clarifying us on two aspects: Firstly, there is the way the Law of God in general (moral and ceremonial – civil) was obeyed in the past through human eorts without the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, there is the ceremonial and civil Law that were temporal and involving just works like: circumcision, sacrifices of  bulls, drinks, food etc.

The dierence between the Old and the New Testament in the obedience of the Laws of God, lays in the fact that:

1) Where as in the Old Testament, people applied human eorts to keep the Laws of God.

2) In the New Testament, people believe first in Christ, and are convicted and led to obey the Laws of God by the Holy Spirit , as we have already mentioned.

These two ways of obedience of the Law of God is summarised in this texts that says, “But that Israel who pursued the righteousness

which is based on Law did not succeed in fulfilling that Law. Why? Because they did not pursue it through faith, but as if it were based on works( Romans 9:31-32).

It is written:

 “If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have  been no need for the second one. But God fi nds fault with his people when he  says,’ the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them. Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel in the days to come says the Lord;

I will put my Laws in their minds and write them in their hearts.

I will be their God and they will be my people. None of them will have to teach his fellow-citizen or say to his fellow countryman, ‘know the Lord’. For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest? I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs”(Hebrew 8: 7 Good News )

I Took Them By The Hand

From this text, the two ways of obedience to God’s Laws are clearly spelled out. From 8vs 9, ‘‘…I took them by the hand to lead them…’’, deal with the old way of obedience of God’s Laws through human eorts and sacrifices. “Hand” here, is a symbol of works. Hands are the external physical parts of the human body especially involved in actions and may be a source of blessings and also a source of evil to man. With our hands, we can do good and evil at the same time. The spiritual meaning therefore of ‘hand’ is that human nature that can  never please God as it is written: And so a person becomes an enemy of God when he is controlled by his human nature; for he does not obey God’s Law, and in fact he cannot obey it. Those who obey their human nature cannot please God( Roman 8:7-8).

Illustrating the same practices of this human nature, the Bible says, “ It means that the oerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make worshipper’s heart perfect, since they have to do only with food, drink and various purification ceremonies. These are all outward rules, which apply only until the time when God establish the new order" Hebrew 9:9-1o.

This text throws more light on Colossians 2:16-17 t hat says, “Let no one make rules on…..Sabbath...”  These rules referred to, are the oerings and animal sacrifices (food, drink, etc.) and the purification ceremonies that were instituted as practices on the Sabbath day. For more on the rules of oerings, animal sacrifices and purification ceremonies, read Numbers 28. Therefore, Christ’s body, replacing these external rules that were governing the Sabbath, does not mean the elimination of the Sabbath day (Holy day).

I Will Put My Laws In Their Minds And Write Them In Their Hearts

From 8 vs. 10-13, deals with the new way of obedience of God’s Laws, through the Spirit: “ …I will put my Laws into their minds and

write them on their hearts”. The human being is a spirit that has a soul; and dwells in a body. The body is therefore just a house in which the spirit lives. The mind just as emotion and will, is a constituent of the soul. The soul therefore is that conscious and emotional part of a human being. Thus, a man’s mind is that spiritual force or constituent of a man dwelling his soul that governs his emotion, which flow to actions (Body). The man’s mind depends on his will which depends on his spirit.

The latter depends on the Holy Spirit. Obedience to God involves a man’s will. It’s not just emotion. A man must will to obey God. And as he does wills to obey Him, he sets his mind on Him and his emotion is moved, then a flow of  manifestation through the body. Therefore, although obeying God involves emotion, it does not begin from it. The Holy Spirit moves the human spirit which then moves the human will. The human will decides to obey God or not to obey. When the will wills to obey God, the will gets the mind to concentrate on Him and then, because the whole personality is bent in that direction, the emotion flows in that direction too, and thus an act of obedience is produced, manifesting through the body (bones, muscles, blood.). This will result in the whole person: spirit, soul and body obeying God.

Therefore, God says that through His Holy Spirit, He will write His  laws in our spirits dwelling in our hearts and also put them in our Souls. It therefore means that God the Holy Spirit will completely possess man and move Him in the obedience of His Laws, Spiritually from his heart fl owing to the mind (soul).

The Lord Jesus Christ said:

“But the hour is coming and is already here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for such the father seeks to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth” (John 4: 23). So we see that God’s Laws have not changed, but only the way of obedience to them have changed. Did Jesus Christ not say:

Think, not that I have come to abolish the Law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches other to do same will be called great in the kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:17-20).

So the Lord Jesus Christ, could not have obeyed his father’s Laws, and teach his apostles to disobey. The disciples therefore couldn’t

have obeyed and taught others to disobey. What they meant in their letters with regard to the Law was obedience of the Law in the old

way of eorts and works. The people of Israel had known only obedience in the old way and were strongly believing in it. This, making it

dicult to bring other contrary teachings as Christ coming to replace them.

It therefore needed a lot of wisdom and explanations to convince them to move from the old way of obeying the Law through e orts like Temple sacrifices and ceremonies, to the new way through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, “ So God does away with all the old sacrifices and puts the sacrifices of Christ in their place”(Hebrew10:9).

This was the major problem faced by the first apostles. Unfortunately, through the powers of the devil, we have all misinterpreted them. When we read from Matthew 5:17-46, we see those things that Christ magnified. He did not leave us ignorant to all what he touched. Reading further in Hebrew 9: 1-28, Hebrew 10: 1-38, we see the Temple or religious sacrifices and ceremonies replaced by the body of Christ.

These are the focal things magnified by Christ. So when we start rejecting the sanctification of the Lord’s Sabbath (the 7th day, which falls on Saturday, and not the 1st day Sunday), claiming t hat Jesus Christ nailed it on t he cross, it becomes t he great works of the devil. Why do we sanctify Sunday as the Sabbath? Was Sunday too not nailed on the Cross? We are hypocrites! Let us change our wicked hearts and turn back to the Lord. We claim to love the Lord, but practise and defend the teachings of the devil.

Chapter 3

What Is The Meaning Of The Word

“Law of Works ”?

"WE MUST BE DELIVERED FROM THE LAW (WORKS OF THE LAW)"

Many believers misunderstand the Apostle’s use of the word “delivered from the Law, "which meant Law of works" giving way to the Law of the Holy Spirit, to mean the abolishment of God’s Laws. To this, our Lord Jesus Christ reiterates saying, “I have not come to abolish the Law ..” (Mathew 5:17-20). Was He mad? Brethren, we are making a very big mistake. As to the works of the Law the Bible says:

- “For all who rely on works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the Law, and do them’. Now it is evident that no man is justified before God by the Law; for “He who through faith is righteous shall live”; but the Law does not rest on faith, for “He who does them shall live by them” (Galatians 3:10-14.3). “Why? Because they did not pursue it through faith, but as if it were based on works” (Romans 9:32).

- “For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the Law” (Romans 3: 20).

- “Did you receive the Holy Spirit by works of the Law? ”(Galatians 3:2)

It is useless believing that, we can reach heaven (eternal life with God) through our own works or eorts in keeping the law. To profess a legal religion, a form of godliness without a transformation of nature brought about by the Holy Spirit, is a mere wastage of time. The Christian’s life therefore, is not a modification or improvement of the old nature, but a death to self and sin, and a new life in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The works of the law can never save us.  Therefore, all the dead religious systems of the world today, and all ‘‘ Born again’’ who are still trying to obey God’s Laws by the old way through human eorts ( Law of Works), rather than through the New way by the Holy Spirit,  are cursed to end up in the lake of fire.

Salvation by grace in the Lord Jesus  is obtained therefore, not by: Fasting, prayers, Worshipping, sanctifying the Sabbath, giving of tithes and oerings, circumcision, financial contributions, preaching, miracles and wonders, head veil, etcetera, as was in the old through human eorts (works of the law), but in the new way of obedience of the Laws of God through the Holy Spirit (works of the Holy spirit). That is, the Holy Spirit convicts and leads us into these practices. To this, the Bible adds:

The people who are trying to force you to be circumcised are the ones who want to show o  and boast about external matters. They do it, however, only so that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. Even those who practise circumcision do not obey t he Law; t hey want you to be circumcised so that they can boast that you submitted to this physical ceremony. As for me, however, I will boast only about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; for by means of his cross, the world is dead to me, and I am dead to the world. It does not matter at all whether or not one is circumcised; what matters is being a new creature (Galatians 6: 11-15 Good News).

Yes, for those who keep obeying the Laws of God in the old way, through human eorts (works of law), they should know that if we are

not born again of the Spirit of Christ and led by Him, we can’t enter the kingdom of heaven. We may carry out multitudes of carnal 40 days fast, prayers, or even oer  all we have like wealth and even including ourselves in the old way of works  without being led by the Holy Spirit, we will not enter the kingdom of God.

The devil is merely deceiving us. Today, some people get into the sanctification of the 7th day, as was in the old through works (human eorts), rather than the sanctification of God in spirit on this day. We are to be led in the new way by the Spirit to sanctify this day, as commanded by Exodus: 20:8-11, as well as the entire scripture which is God’s book of Law, to His honour.

So today, we are to help the people know Christ and receive the Holy Spirit that will lead them Spiritually in obedience of the Laws of God as it is written. To this the Bible says: Let the Spirit direct your lives(Galatians. 5: 16). So, we come to the conclusion that the Law of God which is the entire scripture remains one and unchangeable but with two dierent methods of obedience:

1) The old way (Old Testament) through man’s eorts (works of the law): On the principle of works? No! but on the principle of faith. (Rom.3:27-29).

2) The New way (New Testament) through the Holy Spirit (Law of the Holy spirit):Do we then overthrow the Law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary we uphold the Law (Roman 3: 31).  Grace therefore by the Holy Spirit means, God doing something to man that, he does not merit. While Law means, man meeting up certain obligations of Holiness and justice imposed by God.

But if Law implies God wanting man to accomplish certain things (carrying out certain works) as it was in the Old Testament, through personal eorts in using human knowledge and intelligence; then man must seek deliverance from the Law of works, now that he is in Christ. This is because Christ has accomplished this for man, and given him the Holy Spirit to lead him in meeting up the obligations of holiness and justice imposed by God. In the Old Testament before the coming of Christ, man employed his human knowledge, intelligence and force to obey God’s Laws. And secondly, carried out certain religious ceremonial practices (ceremonial laws) to please God.

All these were man’s eorts (man’s works) to put himself right with God. But now, with Christ coming and the Holy Spirit, all these have

passed away and become a curse if we continue in them. This is exactly the message of Apostle Paul in the New Testament on the

question of Law, and not that there no longer exist a Law on which God governs His people. In Christ therefore, we are no longer in the old way of obeying God’s Laws through “human works” but by the Holy Spirit. Obedience to God’s laws must be something naturally fl owing in us as a way of life.

That is, the law of the Spirit in the life in Christ. When obedience is occasional, it becomes the work of the Law. If we are struggling to obey God’s Laws, then it is not fl owing as a way of life from the Holy Spirit, but man’s works (therefore works of the Law). Today, many Christians are struggling to: put on head scarf, not to commit adultery and fornication, praying, giving tithes, abstinence from certain foods, sanctify the Lord’s day (Sabbath), fasting.

This, not as a way of life through the Holy Spirit, but just as Biblical prescriptions (written letters) for it is written: Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not in a written code but in the Spirit; for the written code kills, but the Spirit gives life(2nd Corinthians 3:5-6).

Instead of praying for the Holy Spirit to flow these Biblical prescriptions as a way of life in us, we struggle in our own human eorts to

use our heads and obey, as it was in the Old Testament. This method is just wastage of time because human nature can never please God but brings death as it is written: To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s Law, indeed it cannot; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God( Romans 8:5-6).

Chapter 4

What is the meaning of  LAW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

“For We Worship By Means Of The Holy Spirit”

With regards to these two dierent ways, apostle Paul wrote:

It is we, not they who have received the true circumcision, for we worship by means of His Spirit, and rejoice in our life in union with Christ Jesus. We do not put any trusts in external ceremonies I could of course put my trust in such things. If anyone thinks he trust i n external ceremonies, I have even more reasons to feel that way. I was circumcised when I was 8 days old. I am Israelite by birth, of the tribe of Benjamin, a pure blood Hebrew. As far as keeping the Jewish Law is concerned, I was a Pharisee, and I was so zealous that I persecuted the Church. As far as a person can be righteous by obeying the command of the Law, I was without fault( Philippians 3:3-6).

From the above text, Verse 3 talks on the new way of obeying God by the Holy Spirit, while, Vs 6, is on obedience by the old way through human eorts.

Therefore, obedience in the Old Testament was not based on an internal conviction, but on outward practices. Th at is why, there were hard rules and regulations to force people to keep the law. The teacher and comforter who is the Holy Spirit, was not yet there to work in the hearts of individuals to carry out conviction and transformation, leading to the obedience of God’s law as it is written:

- “But this is the covenant, which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my Law within them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each man teach his neighbour and each his brother, saying ‘ know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will remember their sin no more”( Jeremiah 31: 31-35).

- “This is what I will do in the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will proclaim my message; your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams. Yes, even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will proclaim my message”(Acts 2: 17-21)

- “I will give you a new heart and a new mind. I will take away your stubborn heart of stone and give you an obedient heart. I will put my Spirit in you and I will see to it that you follow my Laws and keep all the Commandments I have given you. … You will be my people, and I will be your God” (Ezekiel 36: 26-28).

- “The Lord Jesus said:“But the time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God’s Spirit, people will worship the Father as He really is, oering Him the true worship that He wants. God is Spirit, and only by the power of His Spirit can people worship Him as He really is”( John 4: 23-24).

Thus in the Old Testament, Worship was not in Spirit, but through works(human eorts). God was met in a physical place of worship ( Temple ), but in the New Testament through the body of Christ, we have individually become living Temples of God where He lives through the Holy Spirit. God therefore, no longer lives in houses built by men, but in that which He has built (man) as it is written:

But the Most High God does not live in the House built by men; as the prophet says, Heaven is my throne, says the lord, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house would you build for me? Where is the place for me to live in ? Did not I myself make all these things?( Act 7: 48 – 50  Good News)

When Jesus Christ was on the cross, the veil in the inner court leading into God’s presence (Holy of the Holiest) was torn from top to bottom, thus giving us direct access into the presence of God through the Holy Spirit.

To this the Bible says:

- “It is through Christ that all of us, Jews and Gentiles, are able to come in the one Spirit into the presence of the Father”(Ephesians 2: 18).

- “Come to the Lord, the living stone rejected by man as worthless but chosen by God as valuable. Come as living stones, and let yourselves be used in building the Spiritual temple, where you will serve as holy priest to oer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ” (1peter 2: 4-5).

If we have become High priest through the body of Christ and his blood went for purification of our sins, then the animal oerings,

food oering, wine oering and other physical practices that were carried out during worships and purification of sins have been eliminated.

These physical practices of oerings etc, it is written, “were waiting for the Body of Christ”( Colossians 2:16-19). This body is a perfect oering for the purification of our sins as it is written,No sins are forgiven unless blood is poured out”(Hebrew 9: 22).

Eliminating these physical practices of o ering things, does not mean eliminating the Holy day of the Lord (Sabbath), or the New

Month praisesas earlier said. If man without being led by the Holy Spirit in conviction to obey God’s Laws, but uses his intelligence; and is even forced to do it with no conviction, he cannot please God because he is not convince, and therefore, salvation becomes dicult. To this the Bible says, “ No longer do we serve in the Old way of a written Law, but in the new way of the Spirit (Romans 7: 6).

So, Why Then Did We Serve God In The Old Way Of Works Or  Practices Of The Law If We Could Not Be Saved?

 What Then  Was Its Purpose?

As to this the following Bible texts says:

- “What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added in order to show what wrongdoing is, and it was meant to last until the coming of

Abraham’s descendant, to whom the promise was made. Angels handed down the Law, with a man acting as a go between . But a

go-between is not needed when only one person is involved; and God is one. Does this mean that the Law is against God’s promises?

No,  not at all! For if mankind had received a Law that could bring life, then everyone could be put right with God by obeying it. But the

scripture says that the whole world is under the power of sin; and so the gift, which is promised on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ, is given to those who believe”(Galatians 3:19-22 Good News ).

- “With the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ, he said : “ I am telling you the truth: no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit ”( John 3: 3-5).

Why must we be born again by the Spirit of God ? This is because when man sinned in the garden, the Spirit of God that was in him, left. And following God’s plan of redemption, it was only through believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and being baptized that, the Spirit was to return. Read John 16: 7-15, Romans 8: 13-16, Act 16: 23. It is this Spirit that will lead man into obeying God’s Laws. Those who do not have the Spirit are still led in the old way of obeying God’s laws; that is why they cannot please God.

Chapter 5

Which precisely were those Laws Touched by Christ?

INTRODUCTION

It is very important for us to make clear distinctions between the two types of Laws found in the Bible. This will enable us to avoid confusing the Holy Scriptures and leading to our own very destruction (2nd Peter: 3: 15-16).

In the Bible, there are two types of written Laws of which God is the main author. They are written separately on two dierent materials as seen below:

Firstly, we have the Natural Moral Laws, which deals with the Ten Commandments written on two tablet Stones by God with his own hands.

Secondly, the Laws of Moses, which deals with the Ceremonial and civil laws written in a Book (book of covenant) by Moses with inspiration from God.

The latter that constitutes physical rules and regulation, was to ensure the application and success of the former, while waiting for the Lord Jesus.

This as the Bible puts it:

What then, was the purpose of the Law? It was added in order to show what wrongdoing is, and it was made to last until the coming of Abraham’s descendant, to whom the promise was made. The Law was handed down by angels, with a man as a go-between ? Galatians 3: 19-20).

So the latter Law and its practices were to last until the coming of Christ (also read Colossians 2: 16-18 , Number 28: 9-10). While the former Law, is everlasting as it’s written in the hearts of men as the Bible says:

- “The Gentiles do not have the law; but whenever they do by instinct what the Law commands they are their own law, even though they do not have the Law. Their conduct shows that what the Law commands is written in their hearts. Their consciences also show that this is true, since their thoughts sometimes defend them”( Romans 2: 14-15 Good News).

- “It is clear that Christ himself wrote this letter and sends it by us. It is written, not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, and not on the tablets stone but on human hearts”( 2nd Corinthians 3: 3Good News).

- “And the Holy Spirit also gives us his witness. First he says, ‘‘this is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my Laws in their hearts and write them on their minds”( Hebrew 10: 15-16. Good News).

How were Noah, Abraham, and Hanoch acting towards God? Certainly, through the Spiritual Laws written in human hearts. God’s Rhema led them walk with God by the written Laws in their hearts. Therefore, through our Lord Jesus Christ, both the Jews and the gentiles became one to be ruled or governed by the Natural Law of God , spiritually written in the hearts of all men.

This, rather than by the temporal ceremonial and civil practices that were to cease with the coming of Christ as it is written:  He abolished the Jewish Law with its ordinances and rules, in order to create out of the two races one new people in union with himself, in this way making peace. By his death on the cross Christ destroyed their enmity; by means of the cross He united both races into one Body and brought them back to God(Ephesians 2: 15-16). Illustrating the coming to an end of some of the Jewish ceremonial and civil Laws, the Bible says:

- “You do not want sacrifices and oerings, but you have prepared a body for me. You are not pleased with animals burnt whole on the altar or with sacrifices to take away sins. Then I said, ‘ Here I am, to do your will, O God, just as it is written of me in the book of the Law” (Hebrew 10: 5-7 Good News).

Anyone who disobeys the Laws of Moses is put to death without any mercy when judged guilty on the evidence of two or more witnesses. What, then, of the person who despises the Son of God? Who treats as a cheap thing the blood of God’s covenant, which purifi es him from sin? Who insults the Spirit of grace?”(Hebrew 10: 28 Good News).

The Laws God Gave To His People:

1) Natural moral laws (Decalogue-Ten Commandments written by God himself.

2) Civil and ceremonial laws (inspired by God and written by Moses).

These Laws in the Old Testament were all obeyed in the Old Way through human intelligence and eorts (works of Law) since God’s Holy Spirit was not yet indwelling all hearts. In the New Testament, when our Lord Jesus Christ came and magnified as wel l as replaced t hose t hat were Temporal, God poured His Spirit upon every flesh as He had promised.

We are now to be led by the Holy Spirit in the obedience of the Laws of God (the entire Bible - including those magnified by Christ). Therefore, when Jesus Christ came, he replaced and magnifi ed some of these Laws, while some were untouched. Our Lord Jesus Christ illustrated this obedience by the Holy Spirit of the whole Bible which is the magnifi ed Ten Commandments, when He said:

If you will enter life, keep the commandments. “You shall not kill, steal.. bear false witness, Honour your father and mother, love your

neighbour as yourself, … (equally, remember the Sabbath and keep it holy).” The young man said, “ All these I have observed; what do I

lack?” Jesus said to him, If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me”(Matthew 19:16-22).

The Natural Moral Law Of God Not Modified By Our Lord Jesus

(Decalogue- Ten Commandments Written By God Himself Around Which The

Whole Bible Rotates).

These are the laws dealing with the will of God. These law with the coming of the Holy Spirit, is exercised not through the use of force, but by extreme love and free will (Liberty of the Holy Spirit, John 4: 18). We must acknowledge that the whole Bible rotates around this Natural Laws, which is represented by the Ten Commandments. Apostle James in the New Testament calls these Laws to be obeyed through the Holy Spirit as: ‘‘The royal law of liberty ’’ on which we are going to be judged(James 2: 8-12).

LAW came into existence from the very moment there existed a creator and his creatures, that is : God and His angels in heaven, and subsequently God and man-on earth. If there were no Laws, then neither Lucifer (Satan) could sin against God in neither heaven, nor Adam and Eve on earth. Sin means transgressing a law as the Bible puts it: Through the Law comes knowledge of Sin (Romans 3: 20).

These Natural everlasting Moral Laws (the Decalogue), which deal with the ten commandments of God and not nine commandments, were therefore already spiritually written in the hearts of Man and only visibly reproduced on two tables of Stones and handed to Moses on Mount Sinai as it is written: Come up to me on the mountain and wait there; and I will give you the tablets  of stones, with the Laws and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction (Exodus 24: 12 Good News).

THE CEREMONIAL AND THE CIVIL LAWS THAT WERE TOUCHED BY OUR LORD JESUS

a) The laws of Moses (ceremonial and civil laws inspired by God and it’s accomplishment by our lord Jesus.

i) The civil laws, were magnified by our Lord Jesus Christ. Read Mathew 15:13- 48.

ii) While the Ceremonial Laws dealing with sacrifices, wine, etcetera, were completely abolished because the Body of Christ replaced them.

Read all of Hebrew, Colossians, etcetera. They are the Laws that the Bible says that Christ nailed on the cross and a shadow of what was to come (Colossians 2: 16).

Therefore, some of the Civil Laws, and of the Ceremonial Laws ceased from existence, with the coming of Christ for they were merely

introduced to enforce the application of the Moral Natural Laws of God.

The Bible makes mention of an everlasting covenant or agreement between God and Abraham, with God promising him blessings.

This fundamentally deals with the position taken by God with regard to the plan of Redemption oered to man. To this the Bible says:

“When two people agree on a matter and sign an agreement, no one can break it or add anything to it. Now God made His promise to

Abraham and to his descendant. It does not say, ‘‘And to descendants’’ referring to many; but referring to one ‘‘and to your descendant which is Christ”.

What I mean is that God made a covenant with Abraham and promised to keep it. The Law, which was given four hundred and thirty years later, cannot break that Covenant and cancel God’s promise.

For if God’s gift depends on the Law, then it no longer depends on His promise. However it was because of his promise that God gave that gift to Abraham. What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added in order to show what wrongdoing is, while waiting the coming of Abraham’s descendant to whom  the promise was made. Angels handed down the Law with a man acting  as a go-between. But a go-between is not needed when only one person is involved; and God is alone. Does this mean that the law is against God’s promise? No, not at all! For if mankind had received a Law that could bring life, then everyone could be put right with God by obeying it. But the scripture says that the whole world is under the power of sin; and so the gift which is promised on the basis of Faith in Jesus is given to those who believe” (Galatians 3: 15-22 Good News).

This Plan For Mass Salvation Can Therefore Be Based On  Three Major Elements:

1) The promise of God(Galatians 3: 15-22).

2) The conditions given by God summed up in the obedience of his  will (Natural Moral laws) as it is written: He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you; you must obey the Ten Commandments which he wrote on two stone tablets. ( Deuteronomy. 4: 13).

3) The means of fulfilling the conditions, which is Jesus Christ (Gospel) (Isaiah 42: 1-6, Galatians 3: 15-22).

Therefore, the ceremonial and civil laws of God were Laws containing some hard rules and regulations to ensure the application of

the moral laws as the basis for the renewal of the agreement or covenant of promised blessings and benedictions. This was to

govern the daily societal life and religious worship of man after his fall while waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ to come and perfect them according to God’s plan for man’s salvation. This further brings more light to the question of : Why these laws, if they could not lead to man’s perfection? In fact, just as Apostle Paul puts it in Galatians 3:21, “ it was intended to keep us alive, while waiting for Jesus”.

“Just As With Abraham, Animal’s Blood Was Also Used By Moses In Sealing The Covenant”

On Mount Sinai, Moses received the Laws from God and wrote them down in a book (Book of the covenant) as the Bible illustrates:

Moses wrote down all the laws. Early in the morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stones,…..Then he sent young men, and they burnt sacrifices to the Lord and sacrificed some cattle as fellowship o erings. Moses took half the blood of the animals and put it in bowls; and the other half he threw against the altar. Then he took the book of the covenant in which the Lords Laws were written, and read it aloud to the people. They said, ‘‘ we will obey the Lord and do everything that he has commanded us’’. Then Moses took the blood in the bowls and threw it on the people. He said, ‘‘this is the blood that seals the covenant, which the Lord made with you when He gave all these Laws.(Exodus 24: 4-8, Deuteronomy 31: 24-26 Good News).

Thus, on Mount Sinai, the sealing of the covenant or agreement of promised blessings since the time of Abraham was renewed with the Lord stating down rules and regulations (in the Book of the covenant : ceremonial and civil acts) that were to be respected. Just as with Abraham, Moses used t he blood of animals in the sealing of the covenant.

This agreement or covenant of promised blessings and benedictions was still to be honoured by God on the conditions that, they abide by His will the Ten Commandments which He wrote on the two tablets stones and handed to Moses as the Bible puts it:

He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you, you must obey the Ten Commandments, which he wrote on the two

stone tablets”( Deuteronomy 4: 13Good News).

The psalmist writes: With faithfulness and love, He leads all who keep His covenant and obey His commandments( Psalms 25: 10).

To discover and clearly understand these Laws (ceremonial and civil), we have to read the following texts diligently under the leadership of our teacher

the Holy Spirit:

The whole of Leviticus and Numbers.

• And the whole of Deuteronomy.

• Exodus: 21 to 31.

There is therefore, just one agreement or covenant promise of blessings and benedictions from Abraham to our Lord Jesus Christ as it is written:

God who does not lie, promised us this life before the beginning of time, at the right time he revealed it in his message(Titus 1: 1-3).

This One Agreement Or Covenant However Was Renewed And Sealed In Two Different Ways:

Firstly, in the Old Testament with the use of animal blood (The ceremonial Laws to ensure obedience of the Moral Law).

Secondly, in the New Testament with the blood of Jesus Christ (Faith in Jesus as a new way in ensuring the application of the Moral

Laws of God. So Jesus replaced the Ceremonial Laws).

There was therefore, just one Covenant of promised blessings and benedictions treated with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Israel on

Mount Sinai,  then later with Jesus Christ. To this the Bible says:

“You descendants of Abraham his servants; you descendants of Jacob, the man he chose: The Lord is our God; His commandments are for

the entire world. He will keep his covenant forever, His promises for a thousand of generations. He will keep the agreement He made with

Abraham and His promise to Isaac. The Lord made a Covenant to Jacob one that will last forever, ‘‘I will give you the Land of Canaan’’, He

said ‘‘It will be your possession”( Psalms 105: 6-11 God News).

Their cries went up to God, who heard their groaning and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” (Exodus 2: 24 Good News).

For more clarifications on the two dierent methods of renewal and sealing, read Hebrew 9: 1-28 and 10: 1-18.

It is therefore, from this perspective that we have the word: NEW AND OLD COVENANT.  Therefore, in the first renewal of the agreement or covenant of promised blessings and benedictions on Mount Sinai, God added some practices (Ceremonial and Civil) governed by hard rules and regulations to ensure the application of the Moral Natural Laws as conditions for renewal. The people accepted all these and it was sealed with the blood of animals (Exodus 24: 3-18). Thus the covenant was only to be kept by Him on condition that  His Ten Commandments were obeyed. Th e Bible considers this as the Old  Agreement or Covenant.

In the second and final renewal with the Blood of Jesus, Moses said: He  will send you a prophet like me from among your own people, and you are to obey Him (Deuteronomy 18: 15). This is further confirmed in Acts 3: 22. As already mentioned, when Jesus Christ did come, he said:

Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law and the teachings of the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to accomplish them.”( Math.5: 17-2O).

Let’s ask this question for the second time: What really is the meaning of accomplishing the Laws and the teachings of the

prophets? We all know that, Jesus Christ accomplished the Natural Moral Laws of God (Ten commandments) through a perfect obedience as we have already seen and subsequently the Laws of Moses (Religious-Ceremonial and civil Laws), by magnifying and making them great as we are going to see. To this the Bible

says,Whoever says that he remains in God, shall do just what Jesus did”( 1st John 2-6).

b) Burdensome And Un-Necessary Practices That Jesus Body Abolished

i) The Feast of Passover (Exodus 12: 23-27). This celebrated the freeing of the Hebrews form their captivity in Egypt. Read Corinthians 5: 7-8. The body of Christ took the place of this feast. Today, we have the breaking of bread, Lord’s Supper or communion.

ii) Pentecost day (Leviticus 23: 16-19). This festival celebrated t he wheat harvest. The name Pentecost (meaning fiftieth) comes from the fact that it was held fifty days after pass over. Reading Acts 2: 1-4, we see that it was on this day that the Holy Spirit came down. This period also correspond to the birth of Christ on earth.

iii) The feast of the Tabernacle (Exodus 26). The Tabernacle or a Tent of worship was built for God, and involved religious practices of rituals and sacrifices to God. Man through our Lord Jesus Christ has become the Holy Temple of God (the living stone). 1st Peter 2: 4-5,9-10. John 2: 20-22.

iv) Ceremonial Sabbaths (Exodus 23: 10, Deuteronomy 15: 1-12). This involved some Holy days (Numbers 29:1-6, 12-15, etc)

as well as oerings and some practices orchestrated on the day of weekly Sabbath (4th commandment of God). For instance, food and wine oering, circumcision (Numbers 28: 9-10), all abolished by Christ body.

Read Colossians 2: 16-17, “ Therefore, let no one pass judgement on you in questions of food and drink or with regard to a festival

or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ”. The Bible illustrates this saying:

- “The Lord has made a vow and will not change his mind, you will be priest forever’’. This dierence, then, also makes Jesus the guarantee

of a better covenant”(Hebrew 7: 21).

- “You neither want nor are you pleased with sacrifices and oerings or with animals burnt on the altar and the sacrifices to take away sins.’’ He said t his even though all these sacrifices are oered according to the Law. Then he said, ‘‘here I am, O God, to do your will.’’ So

God does away with all the Old Sacrifi ces and put the Sacrifi ces of Christ in their place. Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do, we are all purified from sin by the oering that he made of his own body once and for all ”( Hebrew 10: 8-10).

The point we are making here is that God no longer considers the ceremonial and civil practices to ensure obedience of His Moral

Laws as conditions for renewal, but Liberty in its obedience through the Holy Spirit by having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Blood of Jesus as a seal. This is what the Bible considers as a New Covenant or Agreement, as it is written “According to the Law, almost everything is purified by blood, and sins are forgiven only if Blood is poured out”(Hebrew 9: 22).

The whole idea between the New and the Old Covenant revolves around the movement from one method of religious worship to another. For more scriptural enlightenment, diligently read: Hebrew 6: 13-20, and all of Hebrew 7, 8, 9, and 10.  But again, it must be noted that this Covenant or agreement of promised blessings and benedictions is only to be kept by God, if and only if His Natural Moral Laws (Ten Commandments) around which the whole bible rotates, are obeyed through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Bible reiterates:

This calls for endurance of the Saints, those who keep the commandments and the faith o f Jesus ( Revelation 14: 7-12). It is further written:The Dragon was furious with the woman and went o  to fight against the rest of her descendants. All those who obey God’s commandments and are faithful to the truth revealed by Jesus (Revelation 12: 17).

The teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament are the magnification of the Moral Laws of God (The Ten commandments).

Moses said: The Lord will send you a prophet like me from among your own people, and you are to obey Him (Deuteronomy 18: 15).

v) The Atonement day (Leviticus 16: 1-34), was the most important of Israel’s Holy days when the priest would oer sacrifices for the sins of the people. And to this the Bible says, “… These are all outward rules, which apply only until the time when God will establish the new order (coming of Christ). But Christ has already come as high priest of the good things that are already here: “His blood will purify our consciences from useless rituals, so that we may serve the living God( Hebrew 9: 9-14 Good News).

Let’s read Hebrew 7: 11-14 that says: Now, if the work of the Levitical priest had been perfect, there would have been no need for a dierent kind of priest to appear, one who is the successor of Melchizedek, not of Aaron. For when the priesthood is changed, there also has to be a change in the Law. And our Lord of whom these things are said, belonged to a di erent tribe, and no member of his tribe ever served as a priest. It is well known that he was born a member of the tribe of Judah; and Moses did not mention this tribe when he spoke of Priests (Good News).

This is where we can really apply the word “ being saved by grace in Jesus Christ” not having any longer to follow the Levitical

priesthood of oering sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins, but by invoking the blood of Jesus to purify us from them. To be saved by grace in Jesus Christ should not however be taken in this case as a pretext to perpetually live in sins. The scripture says, “ Does this mean that by this faith we do away with the Law? No, not at all; instead, we uphold the Law” (Romans 3: 31).

vi) Circumcision: This was a physical sign of agreement or covenant between God and Abraham(Genesis 17: 9-14). To this the Bible says: “For whether or not a man is circumcised means nothing; what matters is to obey God’s commandments”( 1st Corinthians 7: 119). Moses “ gave you circumcision …and you practice the Sabbath Day on a Man. If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision…..” ( John 6: 22-24).

Our circumcision today in Christ is Spiritual (the circumcision of our hearts by the Holy Spirit), and no longer the physical circumcision of the male organs.

vii) A man who violated the Sabbath day (4th Commandment) by Law was to be killed (Exodus 31: 15). To this it is written:

Once, while the Israelites were still in the wilderness, a man was found gathering fi re wood on the Sabbath,…Then the Lord said to Moses

the man must be put to death …..so the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death-…”(Numbers 15: 32-36).

As earlier said, these measures were prescribed because of the hardness of their hearts, while waiting for the coming of the

Messiah (Jesus Christ). When he did come, He had this to say: “ the Sabbath was made for the good of man; man was not made for the Sabbath”(Mark 2: 27). This is to say, if man was to be killed for the Sabbath, circumcised for the Sabbath, then the good of which it was intended for man will not have its place. What is then the good intended by the Sabbath for man? Th is question has already been answered. These are just few of them, for there are many of these practices that Jesus Body abolished.

C) Which are some of those that were magnified?(Quotations mostly from Good News).

All those magnified by Jesus Christ, are embodied in the Ten Commandments, as treated in the previous Chapters. We have therefore the following:

- “You have heard that people were told in the past: “Do not commit murder;.. But I tell you…..” (Mathew 5: 21-26).

- “You have heard that it was said ‘do not commit adultery: But now I tell you ”(Mathew 5: 27-30).

- “It was also said, anyone who divorces: But now I tell you”(Mathew 5: 31-32).

-  You have also heard that people were told in the past, ‘Do not break your promise but do what you have vowed to the Lord to do: But

     now I tell you,.. ”(Mathew 5: 33-37).

 - “You have heard that it was said: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth; But Now I tell you: Do not….. ”(Mathew 5: 38-40).

 - “You have heard t hat it was said Love your friends, hate your enemies: But now I tell you…” (Mathew 5: 43-47).

At this level, we have seen and confirmed with the Bible that the Lord Jesus did not come to abolish the Law and the teachings of the Prophets but to accomplish them. It was not therefore, all the ceremonial-civil Laws that He nailed on the cross, but just some.

We have therefore accepted that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross freed us as the Bible says:

- “ And you were all dead in transgressions, he cancelled the acts which stood against us, with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross. On the cross he disarmed the principalities and power sand made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession”(Colossians 2: 13-15).

- “On the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weaknesses and uselessness (For the Law made nothing perfect),

on the other hand, a better hope is introduced through which we draw near to God”( Hebrew 7: 16-19).

- “He abolished with his flesh the Laws and ordinances condemning us in union with himself, in this way making peace” (Ephesians 2: 15-16).

As Jesus Christ was suspended on the cross, the Bible says: “ And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and yielded up his Spirit. And behold, the curtain of the Temple was torn into two, from top to bottom” (Mathew 27: 50-51).

In The Holy Temple Of God, There Were Three Gates Of  Curtains Leading Into The Holy Place:

1) Through the first curtain gate around the court, one could enter the court.

2) The second curtain gate was the entrance into the holy place. Only the priests were allowed to enter through this when they performed their services.

3) The third curtain gate was the veil that closed the holy of the holiest.

Even the priest was not allowed to enter there. Only the high priest was allowed to go in once a year on the Day of Atonement. When the Savoir died on the cross, it was the third curtain gate, the veil of the Holy of the Holiest in the Temple, that tore into two from top to bottom. This was of God’s doings opening freely the direct access for man to His Glory through the death of Jesus as it is written: We have then my brothers, complete freedom to go into the most Holy place by means of the death of Jesus. He opened for us a new way, a living way through His body (Hebrew 10: 19-20).

Chapter 6

What Does Grace In Jesus Christ Mean?

The word “Grace”, as we know in the New Testament, means God doing everything in us through the Lord Jesus Christ by His Holy

Spirit dwelling in us, and leading us to obey His Laws. While in the Old Testament, man in the absence of the Holy Spirit, was out of

his own personal e orts, trying to obey God’s Laws to please Him.

Therefore, while in the first case, God by His Holy Spirit through Christ, moves man to obey His Laws 100percent as to satisfy

Him, in the second, man through his personal e orts tries to obey the Laws of God. In this way he can never succeed, and as such,

he lives under a curse. God’s action with man from the beginning, has always been by grace for instance:

• It was by grace that God created His angels and then man, and not by any merit.

• It was by grace that Noah and his family was saved

• It was by grace that Abraham found favour in God’s sight.

• It was by grace that God sent His only begotten son our Lord Jesus  Christ to die on the cross for our Sins, etcetera.

Grace Therefore Is Receiving Something We Do Not And Will  Never Merit”

Thus, grace in Jesus is not the disobedience of God’s Laws, as many believe, but the free gift of God’s only begotten son for our salvation as :

• His blood giving once and for all in replacement of those of multitudes of animals we would have been giving, and never to be perfect, is  grace in Jesus.

• Our not being stoned to death on the spot for our sins but allowed  time to repent, is grace in Jesus Christ.

In Christ, We Have Died To The Law Of Sin: “For Sin Will Have No Dominion Over You Since You Are

Not  Under The Law But Grace”

In Jesus Christ we have been led to die to the ruling Law of Sin over us, so that we can live a new life of resurrection in Him to the

Law of obedience to God through the Holy Spirit, rather than through personal eorts or works as was in the past. In fact this is grace in Christ, and to this the Bible says:

Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us

who have been baptised into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into his death, so

that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the father, we too might walk in newness of life.

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the sinful body might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. For he who has died is freed from sin.

But if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. For we know that Christ being raised from dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. The death he died he died for sin. Once and for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider your selves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions. Do not yield your members to sin as instrument of

wickedness, but yield your selves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace?

By no means! Do you not know that if you yield your selves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one, whom you obey,

either of sin or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But t hanks be to God, t hat you who were once slaves of sin have become

obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness”(Romans 6:1-18).

It is further written:

So I find it to be a Law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God in my inmost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me  captive to the LAW OF SIN which dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks are to God through Jesus Christ our lord! So then, I of myself serve the Law of God with my mind, but my flesh serve the LAW OF SIN ( Roman 7: 21-25).

In conclusion the Bible says: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the Law of Sin and death” (Romans 7:8-18).

In Christ, our mortal bodies are put to death, so that the Law of sin has no role over us. If we have died to the law of sin in Christ,

we then are no longer under the law of sin, and must not therefore sin. Freed from the law of sin, we now live by grace in Christ to the Law of obedience to God’s laws, through the Holy Spirit as it is written: For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the Law who will be justified (Romans 2:13).

Thus, as freed slaves of sins, we become slaves of righteousness. If we are living under the law of obedience, then the law of sin is out of existence to us.

Thus comes the saying: “We are no longer under the law, but grace of obedience of the Law through the holy Spirit, in the Lord Jesus”. “ Grace” therefore, is receiving something, which we do not and will never merit. Glory be to God.

Be blessed as you read on.
