How Did  Satan Successfully Disguised In Using The Roman Emperor Constantine To Initiate And Established A Counterfeit” Christianity” Since 313AD?

To begin with, the Bible says:

“Come, and I will show you how the famous prostitute is to be punished THAT GREAT CITY THAT IS BUILT NEAR MANY RIVERS.

The kings of the earth practised sexual immorality(practicing evil) with her, and the people of the world became drunk from drinking the wine of her immorality’’.  I saw a woman sitting on a red beast that had names insulting to God written all over it;…. “ The woman was dressed in PURPLE and SCARLET and COVERED WITH GOLD ORNAMENT, PRECIOUS STONES, AND PEARLS.

    In her hand she held a gold cup full of absence and fi thy things, the result of her immorality. On her forehead was written a name that has a secret meaning: ‘‘GREAT BABYLON, THE MOTHER OF ALL THE PROSTITUTES AND PERVERTS IN THE WORLD.’’

And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s people and blood of those who were killed because they had been loyal to Jesus …. “1 will tell you the secret meaning of the woman and of the beast that Carries her, the beast with seven heads and ten horns ..”.      

              This calls for wisdom and understanding. The SEVEN HEADS ARE SEVEN HILLS ON WHICH THE WOMAN SITS.   …..THE WOMAN YOU SAW IS THE GREAT CITY THAT RULES OVER THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH”

……..The waters  that you saw , on which the prostitute is sitting, are NATIONS, PEOPLES, RACES, and LANGUAGE. …..THE WOMAN YOU SAW IS THE GREAT CITY THAT RULES OVER THE KINGS OF THE EARTH” Revelation 17:1-18.

Then this other text adds:

-“ Then I heard another voice from heaven, saying “ COME OUT, my people! Come out from her! YOU MUST NOT  TAKE PART IN HER SINS; YOU MUST NOT SHARE IN HER PUNISHMENT! For her Sins are piled up as high as heaven, and God remember her wicked ways” Revelation 18: 4-5.

“Suddenly there appeared in the heavens, visible to all, a brilliant light in the form of a cross. Constantine saw the symbol of Christ and the word “ By this sign you will conquer.” Strengthened and encouraged, he went into battle the next day and defeated Maxentius to become emperor of a united empire in the West. Henceforth the battle flag with a cross became the emblem of the Christian soldier”(“Sadlier” page 111).

According to him, he was favouring the church by the Edict of Milan as written: Under Constantine the Clergy were exempted from taxation. He made and encouraged gifts to the Church to help her work of caring for the poor, the sick, the orphan, and the widow.

He endowed her with extensive land and built a number of churches. Bishops were made judges in the Empire and their decisions were final. He discouraged paganism, and although he retained the traditional pagan title of pontifex maximus, he declined to fulfil the pagan duties it required He made Sunday a day of rest and prayer law. “ (World History the Catholic Social series (Sadlier”page116).

Therefore, Constantine made Sunday a day of rest and prayer by law in 321 AD and not God, because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday the first day of the week, as many of us claim today, without being able to justify where it is written in the Bible. However we can worship our God every day, but with the knowledge that the seventh day of the week is Saturday and not Sunday which is the first day of the week(Luke 24:1-7).

After he defeated his rival Lucinius in 234AD, Constantine decided to build a new capital on the site of a small town named Byzantium. He founded a city, which as Constantinople, was to bear his name through the centuries,and one, which was to save the Eastern Empire, and the “Christian” West on a number of occasions. According to him it was to be the “Christian” and Latin capital of the Empire.

Thus, the devil had successfully and intelligently stepped in through Constantine to absorb Christianity and compromise the word of God. This was the beginning of the metamorphosis of the pagan Roman state religion of idol worship, whose high priest bore the title “Pontifex maximus”, to a new Roman Catholic state’s counterfeit “Christianity” with a high priest still bearing the title Pope – pontiff (-ex), thus, a metamorphosed pagan Roman religion.

This was the devil’s, beginning to change the Times and Laws of God (Daniel 7: 25), and bringing the Saints to bow. The pope took the place of God on earth (THE MOST HOLY FATHER) contrary to the command of the LORD  that says “ AND YOU MUST CALL ANY  ONE HERE ON EARTH FATHER, BECAUSE YOU HAVE ONLY THE ONE FATHER IN HEAVEN” Matthew 2:39.

The pope  became the forgiver of sins on earth instead of Jesus Christ. This continued until Martin Luther himself, a Roman Catholic monk in Germany in 1505, came out with the challenging 99 thesis against Papal usurpation of God’s place on earth to be forgiving sins, instead of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Satan thus succeeded in erasing that name he never wanted to hear as it is written: “And charge them not to speak in the name of Jesus”. Till date, through this dark religious system, Satan is still struggling to replace this name Jesus, with photographs and statues of so called: ‘Jesus’, holy virgin Mary, angels, saints, candles, incense, rosaries, crosses etcetera.

Some Christians, because of the privileges they were now enjoying from the state, abandoned the true word of God in favour of the changes brought by Constantine, like the institution of Sunday the 1st day of the week to Saturday 7th day of the week. This goes in line with the LORD’S warning to believers in Daniel 7:25(Satan’s Changing of the Times and laws of God , and the saints given into his hands), which is another whole topic on it’s own.

A Swiss Christian writer, Willy Rordof says:

“Just like the majority of his contemporary Royal class, and particularly his predecessors of the imperial throne, Constantine was very dispose to the worship of the Sun.

We have already said that, the worship in the honour of Mithras was Popular, particularly among the Soldiers; and the Emperor was their Chief. 

It is therefore possible that Constantine promulgated the Law, making Sunday an obligatory day with aim of uniting the Empire under a Monotheist religion of the Sun.

Constantine was naturally present in the daily worship of Christians, it is therefore possible that with this first step, he wanted to gain the support of the Christian minorities who had increased considerably in numbers and were enjoying his tolerance( Sunday, PP 163, 164).

This deviation of the clergy led to conflict within the church, as those who stood against it were considered by the absorbed clergy as “Heretics” and harshly suppressed. To reinforce the absorbed clergy, Constantine convened the council of Nicaea which brought together the ecclesiastics from the East and West.

This council drew up the creed of Nicaea (also called the Nicene creed), which is recited in the Roman Catholic Mass today, and fixed the method to be followed throughout the whole Church for determining the date of Easter. The council approved laws binding on the whole church. This was the beginning of the canon law.

Therefore, those Christians who wanted to follow the real teachings of the Bible and only the Bible were considered by this absorbed Christians as heretics and violently suppressed and persecuted. Many were tortured to death, and killing by burning was very popular. CONSTANTINE ON HIS DEATH BED, WAS WATER SPRINKLED ON THE FOREHEAD TO BECOME THE fiRST ROMAN EMPEROR CONVERTED TO THE NEW ROMAN CATHOLIC COUNTERFEIT  “CHRISTIANITY as written:

“ On his deathbed he was baptized a Christian, the first Roman Emperor to become converted to Christianity” (Read “World History the Catholic Social studies page 116). This marked the beginning of water sprinkling on heads as baptism contrary to the Biblical baptism, which means water immersion. This practice is continued till date.

Towards the end of the 4th century, this new Roman Catholic counterfeit  “Christianity” gained a very important triumph when Theodosius the Great (379-395 AD) made it the official religion of the Empire. This incident in the reign of Theodosius illustrated a high point in the influence of this false Roman “Christianity” in a rapidly declining empire; and shows what were to be the relations between it and state thenceforth.

While the Western part of the Empire was being overrun by the Germanic tribes who were establishing their kingdom in the areas they conquered, the Eastern part of the Empire was still being ruled by the Roman Emperors.

The Byzantine Empire (from Byzantium, the village Constantine rebuilt as Constantinople and is to be distinguished from the Western Empire, which was mainly Latin in culture) continued for almost one thousand years after the fall of Rome. The greatest of the Byzantine Emperors was Justinian (527- 565). This leader greatly favoured the false Roman Catholic ‘Christianity’, and violently persecuted the real followers of Christ whom they called “heretics.”

He greatly controlled the false Roman Catholic “Christianity” and consolidated its unity and influenced its dominion. He purged it from what he called “heresy,” through very harsh suppression like burning to death of true Christians who wanted restoration of Biblical doctrines obeyed by the early apostles and Christians.

He assumed the right, which belongs to the church to issue decrees on doctrinal matters. THIS ROMAN CATHOLIC DENOMINATION WAS IN FACT WELL ESTABLISHED, AND WAS POLITICALLY AND MILITARILY VERY ACTIVE. As Emperor master of the Roman Catholic “Christianity,” Justinian was bent on:  Restoring the Roman Empire to its original frontier, establishing Roman Law and enforcing the Roman Catholic Religion through out the Empire.

He erected many Roman Catholic “ church” buildings, which were very costly to the government, and sent its missionaries into Russia, Arabia, and the Sudan. Offensives were launched against the Vandal kingdom, captured and incorporated into the empire. The Ostrogothics kingdom of Italy was recovered and thus Rome in the West retaken after twenty –seven years of war.

Thus as the Huns, the Ostrogoths and the Vandals, of the ten divisions, who made up the disintegrating great Roman Empire started opposing the teachings power arrogance of the Roman papacy, they were completely crushed and erased just as the Bible says:

It was different from the entire beast that was before it; and it had Ten horns. I considered the horns and behold, there came up among them another horn, a Little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots;(7verse8).

The Huns were completely erased in the year 493 AD, the Vandals, in 534 and the Ostrogoths in 535 by the little horn. Following their conquest, they disappeared from history as an organised group.

“…THIS “ LITTLE HORN” (THE PAPACY SYMBOLISED AS ‘‘GREAT BABYLON’’, ETC)…”

This “ little horn” (the papacy symbolised as ‘‘Great Babylon’’, etc) was, in fact different from the other ten horns because it was acting in religious as well as political power.

The coming into scene of the election of the most famous of the Roman Catholic Popes, Pope Gregory the Great (590-604AD), during a period when the Roman Empire was in rapid disintegration with foreign invasions, and Rome was in a desperate condition; saw a mighty military growth of the Roman Catholic “church.”

The Byzantine Emperor could not protect Rome against the invading Lombards. The Romans therefore, looked to Gregory for help. A born leader, he organized the feeding and defence of the city and directed military commanders as well as Bishops.

The weakness of the Byzantine emperor left Gregory and his successors the only leaders able to keep peace and order in Rome, and in the region around. This was the mighty beginning of the dominion of a Roman Catholic military state Religion that was soon to expand its influence and dominate the world (Read world History: The Catholic social series).

Yes, the “little horn”(Roman Catholic papacy) the Bible says:

"Out of one of them came forth a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land.

It grew great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled upon them. It  magnified itself , even up to  the Prince of the Host; and the the continual burn offering  was taken away  from him, and the place of  his sanctuary was overthrown . And the host was given over to it  together with the continual burnt offering through transgression; and truth was cast down to the ground, and the horn acted and prospered.

Then I heard the Holy one speaking; and another holy one said to the one that spoke" For how long is the vision concerning the continual burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the Sanctuary  and the host to be trampled underfoot? And he said

" For two thousand and three hundred evening and morning; then the sanctuary shall be restored to it rightful state  (Daniel 8: 9 - 18).

This is just a briefing on the History of the birth or origin of the dominating Roman Catholic Religion. For those who have broadly read World History, they will better understand some of the events described in the Bible, especially Daniel and others. This “little horn” (the Papacy) which came up mightily after the disintegration of the great Western Roman Empire in the year 476 AD, also made its appearance among the nations of Western Europe.

This therefore makes it very clear that the “little horn” or the power of the antichrist had already appeared and is on the scene operating. We should also take note that, this prophecy is not referring to a particular individual but the Papal system and its actions. Revelations:17: 4–18 says:

“ The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and covered with gold ornament, precious stones, and pearls. In her hand she held a gold cup full of absence and fi thy things, the result of her immorality. On her forehead was written a name that has a secret meaning: ‘‘Great Babylon, the mother of all the prostitutes and perverts in the world.’’

The seven heads are Seven Hills on which the woman sits.  They are also Seven kings … it is an eighth king who is one of the Seven and is going off to be destroyed …‘‘The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the nations of the earth” (Good News). NB: None of us is ignorant of the Seven Hills of Rome.

This “little horn” is the great work of Satan. It represents at the same time the pagan Rome and the papacy. In its conquest, Rome advanced successfully towards the South and the east; and towards the Promised Land, and also defied the great prince (Jesus Christ). More focus is directed towards papal Rome because of its devastating works against God, His temple and saints.

The Papacy is named by Daniel as; ‘‘the great devastator’’, the abominable devastator (What Jesus Christ later called:

“the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place( Matthew 24: 15).

Has the Papacy really got all the characteristics of the little horn? (The ‘‘He” as already seen)?

1) ‘‘He shall speak words against the most High God’’ Nobody can deny the fact that, the pope hasn’t attributed to himself appellations reserved only to God. For instance: he is called ‘‘ the holiest father ”. Remember Jesus said: And call no body your father on earth, for you have one father who is in heaven.” (Mathew 23: 9). To spiritually call a carnal human being ‘ The most holy father’ is an abomination. God alone in heaven is the only one endowed with this title.

2) “Unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against every so called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God (2nd Thessalonians2:3-4). Is it not true that the Roman Papacy claims to have supreme divine powers confined by God, not only over the kingdom of earth, but also those of heaven?

3) “Changing the Times and the Law’’.
The papacy has completely introduced doctrines and practices thatare contrary to the will of God; purely human doctrines in the place of Christ’s Ministry. Man is being taught to look upon the human priest as means of obtaining salvation through the sacraments of the “Church” he administers. Jesus Christ has become statues, holy Mary, holy water, rings, chains with crosses, Candles, incense etcetera, et cetera.

The papacy openly admits its responsibility changing the Sabbath from the 7th day of the week to Sunday the1st day of the week. Locus Fenaris in his book titled , “A Catholic Rome” declares that: ‘‘the pope is so great in authority and power that he can modify, explain or interpret Divine Laws’’.

In all Roman Catholic doctrines, the second commandment has completely been eliminated, the tenth is divided into two and the fourth (Sabbath) has been completely replaced.

WHAT IS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC BIBLE,“LA BIBLE DE JERUSALEM ” SAYING AGAINST ROME?

The dragon was with the woman and went off to fight against the rest of her descendants, all those who obey God’s commandments and are faithful to the truth revealed by Jesus. And the dragon stood on the shore (Good News). Just like Isaiah 8: 7 – 10puts it:

And all his forces to attack Judah. They will advance like the flood waters of the river Euphrates, overfl owing all its banks. They will sweep through Sudan in a flood, rising shoulder high and covering everything.’’ God is with us! His outspread wings protect the Land.

iii) Page 1792, point (I) of footnotes reads: The beast of the sea (Mediterranean) is the Roman Empire which represents all the forces dressed against Jesus Christ and the Church, by divine powers.

To complement, lets read what the Bible says: “He will boast that he is greater that any God, superior even to the supreme God. He will be able to do this until the time when God punishes him. God will do exactly what he has planned ….. He will give great honour to those who accept him as ruler, put them into high offices, and give them Land as a reward” ( Daniel 11: 36). “The son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against every so called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God (2nd Thessalonians 2: 4 ).

iv) Page 1795, point (I) of footnote says: Babylon is personified as a woman, its Rome Idolatry. “Revelation 17: 5 says: ‘‘ great Babylon, the mother of all the prostitutes and pervert in the world …”“Revelation 17: 8 says: “The woman you saw is the great City that rules over the kings of the earth”

v) Page 1795, point (a) of footnotes reads : Rome, the city on earth hostile to God .

viii) Page 1795 point (n) of footnotes reads: The seven heads are the seven hills of Rome. Let us complement this with:  “Revelation 17: 9, 18, which reads: This calls for wisdom and understanding. The Seven heads are seven hills, on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings . The woman you saw is the great city that rule over the kings of the earth?( vs. 18 Good News).

ix) Page 1795, point(o) of footnotes reads: The Roman persecutions mutually implies idolatry and murder. This has already been illustrated in Revelation 17: 1 – 6

x) Page 1797 point (b) of footnotes reads: Babylon shall be destroyed for Idolatry and persecutions against Christians. Revelation 18: 24 reads: Babylon was punished because the blood of prophets and of God’s people was found in the city; yes, the blood of all those who have been killed on earth.

WHEN DID SATAN’S PERSECUTION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH  BEGIN?

We must note that apostle John received the message of Revelation on the Island of Pathmos around 95AD during Satan’s persecution of the church through the Roman Empire immediately after Christ as it is written: About that time Herod the king began to persecute some members of the Church. He killed James the brother of John with the sword, and when He saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also … (Acts 12: 1-5).

Therefore, Satan (the dragon) had begun persecuting the Church through the Roman Empire the beast (a beast coming up out of the sea,) immediately after the death of Christ for the Bible says : Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring" Rev.12:13-17

Thus, before the birth of the “ little horn”(the papal system−Daniel 7:8- 25) to continue persecuting the Church of Christ, Satan had already began persecuting it through the Roman Empire. To this the Bible says: The little horn was successful in every thing it did (Daniel 8:9-14).

Therefore, immediately after Christ, the church of the New Testament whose foundation he had laid started facing persecution as early as 34 AD, with Satan aiming by this, to completely put off the name of Jesus Christ as it is written: They beat them and charge them not to speak in the name of Jesus (ActS 5:40-41).

Thus the unconverted Jews in collaboration with the Roman authorities all under the power of Satan mounted serious persecution against the church. This was continued forcefully by the Roman Catholic Papacy (The little horn of the fourth beast Roman Empire), replacing the name of Jesus with that of the Pope as forgiver of sins on earth. To further illustrate the abilities of the Roman Empire that gave birth to the little horn, the scripture says:

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a loin: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat and great authority.” And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and the entire world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast saying, who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with it?” (Revelations 13: 1 –8 KJV).

To settle with a better understanding of the extract, let’s read back to see what had earlier been prophesied: Daniel 7: 17 - 28 reads: The fourth beast is a fourth Empire that will be on earth and will be different from all other Empires.It will crush the whole earth and trample it down”.

THESE FOUR UNIVERSAL EMPIRES ARE: BABYLONIAN, MED-PERSIA, GREECE AND THE ROMAN EMPIRE.

1) The first Empire = Babylon.

 Nimrod constructed this first Empire some centuries far back before  Christ at the insult of God. By 625 BC, it had become a very strong empire under Nebuchadnez’zar but was destroyed by the medians and Persians under Cyrus in the year 539 before Jesus Christ as the Bible says:

“You O king, the king of kings to whom the God of heaven has given the Empire the power and the might, and the glory, and into whose hand He has given, wherever they dwell, the sons of men, the beast of the field, and the birds of the air, making you rule over them all you are the head of gold.

 After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you, and yet a third, kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron, because iron breaks to pieces and shatters all things; and like iron, which crushes, it shall break and crush all these” (Daniel 2: 36 - 40).

2) The second Empire = The Medo-Persia.

As we have seen above (Daniel 2: 39), this is the Empire that came  next. In the year 539 BC, the medians and Persians conquered the Babylonian Empire. This Empire therefore lasted for 208 years.

3) Greece, the third Empire.

 As introduced above, this is the third Empire that succeeded the  Medo – Persia Empire as a universal Empire. Th is Empire lasted for 163 years that is from 331 to 168 before Jesus Christ (Daniel 2.39).

4) The Roman Empire, which is the fourth (that gave birth to the Roman Catholic Papacy).

“This is the fourth Empire after the third Daniel 7: 1-8 says:

“ I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the sea. And four great beasts came up out of the sea, different from one another.The first was a lion and had eagles wings.

Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand upon two feet like a man; and the mind of a man was given to it.

And Behold, another beast, a second one like a bear. It was raised up on one side; it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth; and it was told, arises, devour much flesh.

 After this, I looked, and lo, another, like a leopard, with four wings of a bird on its back, and the beast had four heads; and dominion was given to it.

After this I saw in the night a vision, and behold, a fourth beast, terrible and dreadful and exceedingly strong; and had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet. It was different from the entire beast that was before it; and it had Ten Horns. 

 I considered the horns and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots; and behold, in this horn were eyes like eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things”

This fourth Empire (Roman Empire) like the first three came into being through political turmoil and wars. Jeremiah 49: 35 - 37 and 51: 1 and 11, tells us that the prophetic meaning of wind is fighting (Political turmoil and wars).

The events that took place were accomplished under political turmoil and wars. Water here symbolises people as it is written: The angel also said to me, ‘‘The waters you saw, on which the prostitute is sitting, are nations, people, races, and languages (Revelation 17: 15). Daniel 2: 40 – 44 says of this fourth Empire:

“And then there will be the fourth Empire, as strong as iron, which Shatters and breaks everything. And just as iron shatters everything, it will shatter and crush all the earlier Empires. You also saw that the feet and the toes were partly clay and partly iron. This means that it will be a divided Empire.

It will have something of the strength of iron, because there was iron mixed with the clay. The toes part iron and partly clay mean t hat part of the Empire will be strong and part of it weak.

You also saw that the iron was mixed with clay. This means that the rulers of that Empire will try to unite their families by intermarriage, but t hey will not be able to, any more than iron can mix with clay. At the time of those rulers the God of heaven will establish a kingdom that will never end. It will never be conquered, but will completely destroy all those empires, and then last forever”(Good News).

This fourth beast or Roman Empire was a divided Empire: “This means that it will be a divided empire”2verse.41. The largeness of the Empire gave birth to managerial difficulties that soon led to economic, social and political problems that were threatening the stability of the Empire.

Emperor Diocletian (284-305A.D) who arose from the ranks of the army, decided to divide the power in the empire into two parts as a strategy to prevent its collapse.

He set himself up as an Augustus to rule the Eastern part with a capital at Nicomedia in Asia Minor. And chose an able general, Maximian, to rule as co-Augustus in the Western part with a capital at Milan.

Each of them had an assistant called a Caesar, who was to succeed his Augustus after a twenty-year period. One Caesar was stationed near the Rhine, the other near the Danube. In general, the rulers in the west were not very competent and fought a losing battle against the Barbarian invaders. The last of the Roman emperors in the weak west, Romulus Augustulus, was deposed in 476A.D.

By then the western part of the empire had been conquered by foreign tribes. Even after a Roman Emperor no longer ruled the West, the strong Eastern part of the Empire survived until 1453 A.D, when the Turks conquered it. To this it is written:

Thus the subsequent invasion of this great Roman Empire gave birth to ten kingdoms: “And it had ten horns”. In the publications:

World History “ The catholic social studies series- Christianity and a crumbling empire”; and “The decline and fall of the Roman Empire,” the ten divisions of the Roman Empire are cited as: The Visigoths, Burgundians, Lombards, Ostrogoths, Huns, Franks, Vandals, Saxons, Angles and the Jutes. Seven of them became modern nations of Western Europe.

Three of them: the Huns, the vandals and Ostrogoths were completely erased by the little horn (Daniel 7), to be discovered as we read on. The dissolving great Roman Empire into Ten kingdoms ruled by the ten kings, subsequently gave birth to the dominating Roman Catholic Papacy as it is written:

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them ,he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings(Daniel 7: 24)

We should take note that there will be no problem referring to ten kings as Ten Empires or vice versa. Therefore, the Ten-horns are the ten divisions of Roman Empire that we have already seen. From among the ten horns, comes out “a little horn" that plucks up three of the existing Ten horns.

This small horn had eyes like those of a man and was arrogant against God, and persecuted powers as it is written:

'Will over throw three kings. He will speak against the supreme God and oppress God’s people; and shall think to change the times and the Law; and they Shall be given into his hand for a time, two, and half a time.” (That is 1260 days, 42 months, 3½ years) all boiling down to the prophetic counting of 1260 years, according to Ezekiel 4:4 - 6, Daniel 7: 24 – 26.

FROM WHERE DID WE GO WRONG?

The drama of church History since Martin Luther till date has been that,bwhenever God gave a certain illumination or a special experience to an individual, this individual has always capitalised on this revealed truth or experience and assembled around himself, all those who appreciated his teachings. The final result has been that the truth placed forward becomes the base of fellowship; and from this, results the multiplication of sects (denominations) as it is written: Now the works of the flesh are plain: Disputes, divisions, sects…..?(Galatians 5:19-20).

If God’s people could only understand that the perfect will of God is the founding of a local church; and every revelation or special experience is for the edification of the universal church, and not the assembling of Christians around a certain individual, it will be difficult for sects to be formed. When God started revealing from the time of Martin Luther, His times and laws that Satan had changed through the Papal Roman Catholic system (Babylon); not all was revealed at the same time. But because the people committed the greatest error of forming Protestant eligious−denominations(Lutheranism, Calvinists = Presbyterianism, Congregationalists, Baptist, Methodists, et cetera), in imitation of the Catholics, and making the revealed truth a base of communion instead of planting the Local churches as God wanted, more revelations other than that on which these protestant denominations were founded was and continue to be rejected.

With light from the Lord, Martin Luther believed that the Christians must simply have faith in God’s infinite mercy through the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls rather than works. He denied Papal supremacy in matters of faith and morals, and upheld that the Bible was the only infallible authority contrary to Roman Catholic usurpation.

And because Protestant religions were established on this revelation, further revelation on the manner of Baptism by immersion and not water sprinkling, was rejected and is rejected till date. So, they continued with the Roman Catholic instituted anti Biblical Baptism of water sprinkling, even of babies. This new revelation became the base for the formation of another denomination “the Baptist.”

With further revelation on the 4th commandment of God concerning the sanctification of the 7th day of the week (Saturday) and not Sunday, the 1st day of the week, that had been changed by the Roman Catholics, another denomination, “ The 7th day Adventist” was created that later transformed sanctification which is refraining from our own work to that of God alone(Exodus 20:8-11), to worship whereas we can worship God everyday.  

At the beginning of the 20th century when the Lord decided to act through Pentecostal overfl owing of the Holy Spirit, He was thrown out through the formation of  Pentecostal denominations. Today, God is completely out of denominations, and is working out of them. God can never and will never be part of a system (denomination) because it is not His perfect will. He may tolerate it in His permissive will and use some as he is doing today to accomplish his purpose but will never be pleased with it because it is not his perfect will.

THAT  IS WHY  IN THESE DENOMINATIONAL SYSTEMS, WE MUST RAISE OUR SPIRITS BEYOND THEM, and listen to teachings from the Holy through others not of our denomination, than blindly hang on doctrines of our denominational system.. Therefore, whenever a revelation or experience was received from God, a denomination was founded on it and any other further revelations were no longer accepted.

The person whom God had used to give the message was either considered as ‘heretic’ and forced out, or moved away to form his own denomination. Thus, at every point that God revealed His Laws and Times that have been changed by the wicked one and His saints are obeying so that the church should restore and move into perfection before the rapture, we have always mismanaged them in forming denominations.

And as soon as man uses God’s revelation to form a denomination, no further revelations whatsoever and from whomsoever are accepted. We were supposed to have diversity in service working teams, in the same vineyard of the Lord, yoked to His same doctrine, and not religious systems with human Doctrines in the name of Jesus.

WHY HAVE WE ALL GONE ASTRAY?

“WRONG  MINISTERS  IN  WRONG  MINISTRIES ”

Normally, if every member of the body of Christ were functioning in their area of jurisdiction (that is strictly under his/her ministerial appointment), the false interpretation of the word would have been eliminated. But unfortunately, we just do whatever we think in the name of Jesus. We shall be responsible for any disorder caused in the body of Christ. Accordingly, all authentic ministers of Christ are supposed to sit on the bench and learn from one another.

For instance if I am an apostle, I will sit on the bench and listen to other apostles, prophets, teachers, etcetera. And if I am a prophet, evangelists, pastor, teacher, in my assigned domains of service to the Lord, I will do same. But unfortunately, because we do not know our gift for service, prophets have become evangelist, evangelists have become teachers, and pastors have become evangelists and so forth.

I am not saying that rivers cannot flow. But we must first be operating within the scope of God’s call for our life. All authentic believers have been ordained for a particular function, which must be known and executed. Many have just usurped titles for the glory of the world in the name of Jesus. All these in the flesh!

The Bible says: Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given. As the scripture says, ‘‘When he went up to the very heights, he took many captives with Him; he gave gifts to mankind. “ Now, what does ‘‘he went up’’ mean? It means that first He came down to the lowest depths of the earth.

So the one who came down is the same one who went up, above and beyond the heavens, to fill the whole universe with His presence. It was He who ‘‘gave gifts to mankind’’: He appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. He did this to prepare all God’ people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4: 7-12 Good News)

Apostle Paul clearly calls us to keep to our ministerial gift whenhe said:You are God’s building. Using the gift that God gave me, I did the work of an expert builder and laid the foundation, and another man is building on it (1st Corinthians 3:4). Each of us is supposed to be properly doing what we have been assigned to , and submitting to one another as to learn what God has given the other for general perfection. To this the bible says:

“ Rather speaking the truth in the love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is WORKING PROPERLY, makes bodily growth and upholds itself in love” Ephesians 4:15-16.

We are just trying to give some guidelines to assist us as we read this book. This in order to help us avoid some unnecessary arguments because we do not know our ministerial gift and so send our noses into the domains of others. We should know our ministerial gift and be actively operating in it before claiming to interfere in another’s domain because this is what brings judgement to many. All legal and loyal parts of the body of Christ submit to each other spiritually. That is, the submission flows spiritually and not carnally.

We therefore see that there can never be independence for this will go against the law of God that says: The Spirit’s presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all (1st Corinthians. 12:7). By placing yourself as the Almighty isolated and independent part of the body of Christ who knows everything, you will be condemned because such a ‘ master know all’ part does not exist in the body of Christ.

All members of the body of Christ are perpetual learners. What we do not understand, we must humble and learn from others rather than ignorant and useless criticisms. It must be noted that we are only given a “little” of the very large portion of what God has as work.

To think therefore that we possess all the truth is to be foolish. Uzzah’s life was not spared for trying to do what was assigned to the Levites in spite of his very good intentions (2nd Samuel 6:6). Nor was Korah and family spared for trying to “usurp” the duties of Moses (Numbers 16:31). And neither shall you and I be spared for trying to usurp the duties of others.

There are things God has ordained to speak directly to a person and others He will speak indirectly through others. But unfortunately, there are many who think that God must only speak all to them. Such are deprived of that which God has ordained to give them only through others.

No matter how spiritual Moses was, God decided to speak to him through Jethro the priest of Midian. And equally, Moses could not perform the duties of Aaron or the Levites. Have we clearly heard God and are faithfully doing the little He has assigned us to? This is the most important question to be answered!

We must not forget to know that the Bible is a personality (the Lord); and that as we come to hear from Him (reading the word), He speaks to each and everyone of us according to our level of knowing Him and what we may be able to understand at that time. Just as a mother begins by giving milk to her toothless baby, so too does the Lord with his spiritual babies.

The way a mother handles a baby from birth to the age of maturity is exactly what the Lord does to his children. Therefore, our collaboration with one another is imperative. The Lord confirms this when he says: Like new born babes, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation(1st Peter 2:1-2).

Therefore as we are born by God through Christ, the Bible (our spiritual food) is expected to be read over and over from Genesis to Revelation until Christ comes, or until we are taken to the Lord, if his coming tarries. As we always eat the physical food for the survival of our bodies, so too is the spiritual food for spiritual survival. And at each time we pick up our Bibles to read, we must pray for Him to open our minds to understand His word as it is written: Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures(Luke 24:45).

We see that these were old believers who were with him before His death and resurrection, and the Lord was still opening their minds to understand the scriptures. At each time we open the Bible to read beginning from Genesis, we receive a new revelation from the Lord, in greater dimension of understanding, irrespective of the number of times we must have read it.

The word of God (the Bible) is God incarnated, and thus is so immense that we must never make the error of thinking “since we read it many times from Genesis to Revelation and can recite it, we no longer need to read but just from time to time, open it where we want to refer certain things.”

To think this way, is self seduction and falling in the devil’s trap. The Lord is not a fool to command us to meditate His word day and night (Joshua 1:8). We believe this is one of the causes of the multiple diversity in doctrines that we have today, tearing apart the body of Christ.

Someone who stops reading the Bible because he thinks he already masters it will certainly always be in diametrical opposition to he who keeps reading over and over from Genesis to Revelations, and keeps receiving new revelations from God in the manner of understanding His thoughts expressed in His word.

He who still keeps reading and at each time as if it was for the first time with an open thirsty mind to receive new things will always be fl owing in the manner of the thoughts of the Lord. This will enable him to administer the word according to differential needs of persons in given situations and circumstances harmoniously and proportionately to their knowledge of the Lord.

When we read apostle Paul’s letters, we understand he was one of such. Refusing therefore to be open to listen to others and thinking that what we have understood from the word or any Christian literature is final, and no one else can say or share anything with us, is self-destruction.

This is very wrong and the works of the law rather than of the spirit. For the spiritual man is always ready to learn, and thus is open to listening to the indwelling teacher the Holy Spirit, who does the filtering. We may read the word today and be yoked to a certain understanding only to discover some time in the future that our understanding was wrong.

To therefore stereotype what we have read and understood from the word (Bible), or Christian literature, heard from our pastors and be closed up in it, refusing to open to others as if our own understanding was final, is very wrong and from the devil not from the Holy Spirit. Instead, we are expected to be permanently buried in reading and meditating the word, and allow the teacher (the Holy Spirit) to lead us into understanding of the word, and any Christian literature.

By so doing, we will be in spiritual harmony with all the other members of the body of Christ worldwide, operating in their divinely assigned ministries. As such we will become one in the teachings of the Lord, as were the first New Testament saints. Acting thus, we will be spared of the denominational barriers that diversities in doctrines bring. In this way, the entire body of Christ on earth (church) will move into perfection as one in the Lord in preparation for the rapture.

Every member of the body of Christ is important for the building of the whole body. Therefore, no member of the body of Christ is to be minimised. Each member of the body of Christ, just as the multiple different parts of the human body has a vital function, for the general building up of the body:

-Apostolic ministry
-Prophetic ministry
-Teaching ministry
-Pastoral ministry
-Evangelistic ministry
Then:
-Deliverance ministry
-Healing ministry
-Helping ministry
-Intercession ministry
-Fasting ministry
-Giving ministry ,
-Exhortation ministry
-Singing ministry etcetera

Each and every one of the above has to obey the general command of preaching the gospel of salvation: “Go through out the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind” (Mark 16:15). So this command is for all irrespective of our distinctive Ministries.
